On the tenth of January, two thousand and eighteen, Thomas S. Monson, the prophet and president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints died. The next entry does not mention this, however, as Makayla was not good at keeping her journal so wrote this a good 2 weeks after.
Today is Tuesday. Friday is the last day of the semester. We're on the same schedule as the high school, who for Thursday and Friday are on a final exam schedule. On Thursday, 1st, 3rd, and 5th periods are and hour and a half long while 2nd, 4th, and 6th are 20 minutes. Friday, it swaps. That means Thursday is an hour and a half of band. BAND. 90 minutes. Cool. Same goes for swimming and science. All my favorite classes all long on one day. The next day it's Algebra 1, ELA, and US History. But enough of that. Alex (brother), Amelia (second younger sister) and Jocy (third younger sister) are all sick, and Dad had to stay home today. Yesterday it was Mom with Amelia and Jocy. Braylee (youngest sister and sibling) already took her turn at being sick. Those who aren't sick (Dad, Mom, me, and Lilly) all have been using oils (Essential Oils) (that reminds me, I have my kitty cat oils braclet! The decoration looks like this:
That's a sitting cat batting a butterfly)
Well, good night. As Makayla typed this in, she realized just how much she'd grown as a writer. She typed it as it was written: no paragraphs, the same spelling (even if it was wrong).
I might as well skip ahead, Makayla thought, I don't change much until the next school year, and I don't want to have to write out each and every entry.
With that, Makayla pressed "PUBLISH".
