"Hey Keith!", (Y/N) cheers at their teammate

Keith glares at them, they smile sadly but brushed it off, they knew Keith had always behaved like this. But it always bothers them that....they aren't treated the same as the rest of the team.

How he's alright with Coran and Allura; paying general respect when necessary; playful with Lance about their 'rivalry', friends with Pidge and Hunk. Last but not least, how he and Shiro grow close

While (Y/N), well, let's just say they felt segregated; as if there was an invisible barrier that they could never cross in Keith's eyes.

Time skip

"Lance! Why are you here?"

"Can I not be around the most beautiful person in the castle?", Lance smirks playfully as (Y/N) snorts

"Oh please, don't ever try that on Allura, she'll probably drift farther away than she already is"

Lance pouts, "Well come on! I am the one and only best at this", he proclaims

"Sure", they smile

Keith walks past the living space they were both in, (Y/N)'s eyes graze along his figure, not knowing how nervous it made the hot head, as he turned away when he felt his face flush.

"Why don't you two get it on already?", Lance whispers

"Are you serious? He never wants to be around me", they say, eyeing Keith walk away from earshot

"That is a problem....we'll have to fix it!", his face lights up, he's having a 'eureka!' moment

"No Lance, I don't want to, he'll wanna get farther away from me", they whine but Lance hushes them

'Oh boy'

Time skip (dinner)

Everyone eats their food peacefully, the only exception of the utensils scraping along the plates. It had been a while since Lance had said 'we'll fix it'

And yet, Keith had kept his distance from (Y/N), what they don't know: Keith does not do good with feelings, he's never needed to deal with them, he doesn't know what to do other than....ignore it until it goes away, which also means staying away from the adorable source. But that had failed drastically, he only yearns for their presence the more he's away, but he knows not to go against his original will.

"So, Keith, how's your love life?"
