Meeting Her Parents

Penney was, like every night, practicing in the ring after the show had ended. She has started with the knives again trying to trust herself not to harm anyone. She threw the knife at the wooden target and it landed on it perfectly. She tied the bandana around her head and started walking around. She had done this so many times that she had to get Logan to move the target but he hid behind it because he totally 'trusts her with his life'.

Tonight Logan couldn't be there to shit his pants so she had put more targets out and some in the seats for some more distance. She looked around when she saw Jolene walk in. Jolene looked at the ten year old and nodded receiving a slight nod.

Penney pulled it over her eyes before aiming exactly at the targets. Jolene saw that Penney has changed from the happy little girl she knew to a cold perfectionist that rarely let anyone know who she was. Her eye's, although always too dark to see, now held no feeling towards anyone or anything anymore, they didn't even shine anymore. Her usually low pigtails changed to a high ponytail with a side fringe clipped back when she trained. That's what it was now, training not practice.

Jolene looked up to see the girl lift up the bandana to see she hit all her targets and the one's with the dart board drawn in the bulls eye. Jolene looked wide eyed at the person that stood in the center of the ring

"this is what I didn't want..." Jolene whispered

Penney put away the targets and knives then put the boxing bag in place. Jolene watched as Penney hit the bag

"you've gotten strong" Jolene said trying to get rid of the awkward silence

"just been training a lot" Penney said

'training' Jolene thought of the word in disgust

"it's getting late I better go to bed" Jolene said

"night" Penney said punching the bag

after about ten minutes she put the bag away and did twenty sit ups. She stopped and sat on the bench. She took a sip of her drink before stopping thinking she heard something so checked on the horse's

"hey Daisy" she smiled rubbing the horse "Carrie, Lily, Zelda, Greece, Baby and Jan-" she paused and looked for the gray horse "January?" she called out

she walked outside to see the gray horse out of the pen

"you goose you most have me a fright!" she smiled as she caught the horse "at least this explains the noise"

she put the horse back in the pen

"just remember if any of ye brake out and run off I'm not running after ye" she said as she rubbed their noses "I better go sweeties" she started walking back to the ring

She jumped onto the bar and transferred to the rings. She had just learned to land properly. She was now learning to go upside down, but of course teaching yourself it's difficult. She got half way before slipping and landing perfectly

"that was close" she mumbled

"yes it was" came a voice from the shadows

"who's there!?" Penney yelled pulling out a knife

"little puddin'!" said an over excited woman as she ran over and hugged Penney tightly

"who are you!" Penney demanded as the first shadow appeared

"call me Harley! everyone does!" the woman still hugging her said

"joker" the male said

"what do you want then?" Penney said annoyed

"you to come home silly!" Harley said

"but I am home" Penney said

Harley let her go and sighed slightly disappointed

"well you're going to your real home" joker said harshly

"I'm not going!" Penney said "I don't even know you people!"

"I'm your mother little puddin'" Harley said

"y-your my mom..." Penney stuttered

"yep!" Harley said "and pudding is your dad! right puddin!"

"that's right Harley" joker said

"I'm staying here" Penney said

Joker started laughing before throwing a gas at Penney that knocked her out...
