"Whoah!Where'd u learn how to fight Jess!" Alex said and I laugh "WAY before you were born" I said as I said as one of them choked me.I kneed them in the gut then grabbed his arm twisting it and flipping him hard on the ground "That I happened to catch by Dad!" I said as I kept fighting.I turn and saw someone trying to take the chest away from Alex "Ardeth!" I yelled and he turned and stabbed one of the guys "Whats in the chest!" Ardeth yelled and I glance but kept fighting "The bracelett of Anubis!" I yelled back.Ardeth was fighting some of the guys as Lock-nah watched "Not bad...for a Medjai" He said. I growled killing off the last guy "What's a matter? Scared to get your ass kicked by a medjai?" I said smirking as I stood next to Ardeth.He chuckled and charged at me, he was about to take a blow to Ardeth, but I knew he was a better fighter then me, so I blocked his hit and Lock-nah hit a certain spot in my shoulder and I fell "Crap...pressure point" I groaned lying there.Lock-nah and Ardeth fought but one of the guys knocked out Evy and ran off "Evy!/Evelyn!" Ardeth and I said as Lock-nah threw a blade at Ardeth but he just missed him...Ardeth had gotten cut so he was down like me.I managed to get up after 5 minutes and roll my shoulder in a circle to make the pain stop.Alex,Ardeth and I ran outside and saw Dad and Jonathan "Dad!They took Evy!" I said and he looked back and saw Ardeth "O'Connel" Ardeth said nodding his head but my Dad slammed him into a statue "Hey!!" I yelled angrily "What the hell are you doing here?!No,scratch that, you're dating my daughter.I don't care. Who are those guys and where are they taking my wife?" Dad asked "Okay first off, let him go!" I said angrily and he let Ardeth go.I glared but looked at Ardeth "My friend,I'm not sure...but wherever this man is...your wife shall surely be" Ardeth said and Alex snatched the picture "I know this guy...he's the Curater at the British museum" He said "Are you sure?" Ardeth asked him "You better believe it every time Jess gets a damn letter she takes Alex for more library books so she can write back to you in peace and quiet as she calls it" Dad said and my face went red. "Please stop talking" I said hiding my face in my hand. "Okay okay we need to go" Dad said and we ran to the car "Ok you're here,bad guys are here,Evy's been kidnapped Let me guess-" "Yes they once again removed the creature from his grave" Ardeth said as we walked "I don't mean to point fingers but isn't it your job to make sure that doesn't happen?" Jonathan said I just gave him a dirty look "The woman who was with him,she knows things that no living person could possible know.She knew exactly where the creature was buried.We were hoping she would lead us to the bracelett.She obviously did.And now they have it" Ardeth said. "That's just great" I said worried "I wouldn't get to nervous yet" Alex said and pulled up his sleeve to his jacket and showed us he was wearing the bracelett of Anubis.I gasp knowing the effect it'll have "When I stuck it on,I saw the pyramids of Giza.Then woosh!Straight across the desert to Karnak" Alex said and I look at Ardeth and he looked back at me" Ardeth you do relize by putting on the bracelett he's started a chain reaction-" "To the next Apocalypse" I started but Ardeth finished to which Alex gasped "You two lighten up,you big trouble,you get in the car" Dad said pointing to Ardeth and I then Alex and finally Jonathan.We drove off "I'm sorry we alarmed your son,but you must understand now that the bracelett is on his wrist,we have only seven days before the Scorpion King Awakens" Ardeth said (I was sitting in between Ardeth and Dad in the front) "We?What we?" Dad asked but I gave him a look. "If he is not killed he will raise the army of Anubis" Ardeth said "I take it that's not a good thing" Jonathan said "Oh He'll wipe out the world of course" I said like a smartass "Ah,the old wipe out the world ploy" Jonathan said unhappily.I roll my eyes "Whomever can kill the Scorpion King can send his army back to the underworld...or use it to destroy mankind and rule the Earth" I said remembering I read this before "That's why they dug up Imhotep.He's the only guy tough enough to take our the Scorpion King" Dad said keeping his eyes on the road as we drove through the rain "That is their plan" Ardeth said as we finally made it to the Museum "Alex I've got a big job for you.Stay here and protect the car" Dad said "I can do that" Jonathan chimed in "Protect the car?Just because I'm a kid doesn't mean I'm stupid" Alex barked "I know" Dad said ruffling his hair "Dad" Alex whined. I giggled "Don't feel bad he did the same to me at your age" I said smirking. "If you see anyone running out screaming you'll know it's me" Jonathan said and I stare "Maybe you should stay with him" I said. Jonathan smiled "Yes now we're talking" he said overly happy. I roll my eyes and got out with Ardeth and Dad.Dad and I pulled out our suit cases.I had one and so did he.I look at Ardeth "Hey do you want the shot gun?" I asked and he looked at me "No,I prefer the Thompson" He said. I gave him my Thompson smiling as I grabbed my shot gun 2 pistols,put a wrap of bullets around my waist,gave a wrap of bullets to Ardeth.He also grabbed a few pistols and a knife or two.I grabbed a pistol of my own, but cursed when I dropped it on the ground. "Nice butter fingers" Dad said unenthusiastically. "Oh ha ha ha. You're hilarious" I said annoyed as I reached down to pick it up. I felt my shirt rise, which I'm sure tattoo on my back revealed. I never actually told Ardeth about it,because I thought it was a rather odd place to have it..aka the "tramp stamp" "Jess that's an Ancient Egyptian Royal Symbol" Ardeth ran his finger on my back. His fingers were cold, and so soft but because we have an electric spiritual connection that links us together,I shot up and hit my head on the trunk roof "Ardeth...remember when I said we have the spiritual connection?I was serious...you have to warn me when your gonna touch me...." I said rubbing my head. "There will be no touching while I'm here" My dad said loading his shot gun. "Dad seriously? I'm 32! He is talking about my birth mark....but since we're gonna our people on the spot, Ardeth he's got one too" I said pulling on my Dad's arm to show Ardeth. "Im sorry, I forgot to tell you about mine because I just thought it was a weird place for a tattoo" I said leaning my hands on the car "You must be an Ancient Priestess in a past life...or even a princess" He said. I got up "Maybe, I never did any research on this mark" I said. He looked over to my Dad and starred at his mark. "If I were to say to you...I'm a stranger traveling from the east,seeing that which is lost-" "Then I would say I'm a stranger traveling from the west.It I is whom you seek.How-" My Dad said "Then it is true you both have the sacred mark" Ardeth said "What that?No,that got slapped on me in an orphanage in Cairo.Jess was born with the mark when I had her" Dad said uninterested "And it isn't strange to you that I was born with the mark that you supposedly got slapped on as a kid?" I said with a raised brow.

She and you are warriors of God,a Medjai...Jess might be a princess but was given to the royal family by the Medjai" He said. "Ardeth I already knew I was a Medjai...it runs in my blood.My Grandfather was a Medjai remember? Then my mom married my Dad... and I don't know I guess the whole passing on the family business didn't happen for me because my Dad has always been protective" I said leaning on the car "Yeah and you're welcome, you could be dead if I didn't protect you...maybe Jess is but you got the wrong guy" Dad said as he clicked his rifle. Ardeth and I looked at eachother disappointed.........
