"Son nice to see that you've come, I thought you wouldn't make it" my mom said sarcastic

"No need to be sarcastic mom, you know I'm a busy man" I said kissing my mother on the cheek

"Yeah,yeah. Come on your sister have something to tell you" mother ushers me inside.

  I haven't been home in two years but I call my family regularly. The job I do is not really Safe for my family,  I'm a mafia leader. The name my mafia is Red Thorns our tattoo is on our shoulder/ arm. I am the most feared man in Italy. I have decided to stay here for a few months.

"Ermand" my sister gasp as she ran and hug me. I am three years older than her.

"So what do you have to tell me?" I ask my little sister as I sat on the couch in the living room.

"I'm getting married" Isabelle bursted I stare at her wide eyed "He's a great guy who own a enterprise" she said in s lower voice

"I'm happy far you" I said with a bright smile "What's his name?"  I inquire

"Michael Carlton " she inform

Never heard the name before

"When can I meet him?" I ask

This dude is going to get some warning

"He is going to be here after work" she said

Guess I'll be here until then.

I nod my head in response.

Dinner

"So where's the fiancée?" I impatiently ask

"Have patient Andy" Isabelle said. As soon as mom enter the kitchen the door bell rang (Ermand- ERM= and+y= Andy)

"I'll get it" she said as she wipe her hands in her apron. I rub my hands together can't wait to put fear into this guy. I heard gasp then my mom shouted "Son"

Isabelle and I ran to the door where we say a baby in mom arms and a woman on the floor.

"What happen?" Issa ask

""I-I don't know she just ask me to help her then fainted" mom said

"What is she doing way out here?" I ask no one in particular. I took the lady off the floor and 'check her out' she was beautiful. It's like I took liking unto her, like I wanted to protect her with all my heart

Love at first sight

I sound like a person in love yuck!

"Son" mom hiss "Hmm"
"I've been calling you for a while now, get her upstairs" she order. My mom is a nurse, so we don't need to bring her to hospital. When we reach a guess room I lay the woman down of the bed.

"Take the baby and go I will look after her" mom assure, I didn't want to leave her but I trust my mom

"I went downstairs into the living room with the baby  in my hand. Isabelle come into the room with a guy that was carrying a briefcase, her fiancée I guess.

"You must me Michael" I said

"I am, nice to finally meet my fiancé's big brother"

"Hmhmm"

The little baby in my arms started crying  so I averted my gaze to him. He looks so small and innocent. I wonder how his mother got into this situation, her foot seems beaten maybe she has been running for a long time on the road.

"Hello baby, I'm Ermand and what's your name?" I ask and his face forms a wide toothless grin

"You do know that the kid cannot talk right" Issa ask

"He's smiling at me, he knows what his daddy is saying" I told her

""Daddy? Andy you've just met the kid" Issa hissed and I roll my eyes at her

After some minutes- long minutes mom came downstairs with a sad face "Mom, is she ok? What happen to her?" I rush out

"The girl looks Like she has been through a lot son. Her ribs are broken and she seems like... Like she has been physically abuse for a while now" she explained

"We should find out what happen to her when she wakes up" Issa explained

"Yeah you're right" I nod "I'm  going to protect both of them" I told her smiling

"Good for you son, she will n-" mom was cut off  by a loud calling
