"Hey Maix, who's that?"

"You're never usually around girls, why now?"

"She's pretty, but isn't she a bit young?"

Maix's friends gathered around him as soon as he arrived at his first class. Although they were only 14, the boys were already charming, and thus had their fair share of admirers. However, while Maix also had many "fans" he never accepted gifts, pushing them towards his friends and was never seen with a female inside or outside of school.

Since they knew that Maix, unlike most of the students was not from the same family background as them, his friends usually left him alone when it came to relationships.

However, they could not hold their curiosity in today.

"Guys that's my sister." With four words from the gentle boy, all the boys backed away, turning red in embarrassment. To think that they dared to say even look at her in such a way. . . While Maix was smiling gently on the outside, his tense posture showed that he was not in the mood to continue the conversation.

Out of embarrassment and fear, the boys returned to their seats. Even though he was smiling, Maix was really too scary at these times!

"Thank you." Via set down the huge stack of papers on the headmaster's desk gently.

"Finished already?" The woman looked at the young girl surprised.

"Yes. Would it be alright for me to attend lessons with Maix for the rest of the day until my tests are graded?"

"W-why I suppose that would do not harm." Via hid her smile as the woman stammered. Although she had a lot of respect for the woman, it did please her to catch her strict headmaster off guard.

The rest of the day Via joined Maix in his lessons. Since she had already learned all of the information he was being taught, she looked around for a certain someone.

It must be too early. She thought to herself. In her past life, Gavin's family was only able to get him into Theradin a year early at the age of 13. What's more, they were only able to do that by using their influence.

No, I must not look for him. She would not risk endangering herself and her brothers this time around.

However, despite her decision to stay away from him, Via ran into Gavin at the end of the day. Since Gavin's family was a sponsor of Theradin, they often visited. Thankfully on Via's side, as he did not know her in this lifetime, Gavin paid no attention to her retreating figure.

"Congratulations Miss Dos, you have achieved full scores. I do not know how you were able to do so, but our staff greatly admires you. You will be receiving your graduation certificate shortly." Although her expression was serious when she talked, I could tell that the headmaster was excited to find such a student.

"Lastly, if you do need any extra assistance in the future, I myself or any of our staff members would be happy to assist you." Even though she knew the headmaster was interested in increasing Theradin's fame by helping me, Via was still touched at the headmaster's suggestion. These were different circumstances and I was a different person. . . yet, she was still the same.

"Thank you." She smiled politely at the headmaster before leaving.

As Via exited she was met with Maix's towering frame.

"You did well sis."

"Of course I did."

"I feel ashamed as I am the older one. . . " Via jumped up onto Maix's back as they made their way to the bus stop.

Playfully running with her on his back, Maix grinned at Via.

This, Maix and Asa are the reason I must keep working. For our future and happiness.
