One week later
"MUM, DAD, ANDREA!" I yelled out as I saw them waiting for me outside the airport. I ran as fast as my legs could take me, straight into my sister's arms.

Aubrey: "I've missed you so much, I can't believe you're getting married in two days!"Andrea: "I've missed you too, sis"

Aubrey: "I've missed you so much, I can't believe you're getting married in two days!"
Andrea: "I've missed you too, sis"

I hugged both my parents and we all started heading back to the car until I saw Nick. I ran and jumped into his arms.
Aubrey: "NICK! You told me you were coming later tomorrow."
Nick: "I heard that you replaced me, so I decided not to let you know."
Aubrey: "You're the biggest dork. No one can replace you."

We all went inside the car to head back home. During the car ride mum was passionately talking about a family feast that she was going to make before Andrea's wedding and dad was yelling at her because she was "too loud and distracting him from driving". Andrea, Nick and I started talking in sign language about their absurd behaviour all throughout the car ride. It felt so good to be back.

We arrived home in about an hour and I went straight to my room to arrange my things. Moments later, I heard my dad's loud voice telling me to come downstairs. How Italian, all they do is yell all day.

I went downstairs and saw Christian, Sunny and Jeremy all in the living room. I decided to creep up on them and sit on Christian's lap, causing him to flinch in shock.
Aubrey: "HEY GUYS!"

Soon, everyone came piling into the living room and we all acted as if we didn't see each other in a hundred years. Ten minutes later, mum decided that it would be a good time to start preparing for her "feast" and went into the kitchen, dad decided to help. Nick and Andrea decided to join me, Sunny, Christian and Jeremy in our conversations. Andrea picked out some movies to binge watch in the next couple of hours, so we were all just lounging in the living room as a family.

During the movie I heard yelling so I got off Christian's lap to see what all the noise was about. It was obviously my mum yelling at my dad the whole time about him not "cooking properly" and all that stuff. I also noticed how much food they were making and I became a little confused.
Aubrey: "MUM! Do you really have to yell when he's right next to you? And, why did you make all this food?"
Mrs Mara: "Your dad doesn't know anything, so I have to yell. And, we can't make a little amount of food for so much people."
Aubrey: "Wait, everyone's coming?"
Mrs Mara: "Of course, we need to invite everyone because you and Nick are finally home."
Aubrey: "SERIOUSLY!"
Christian: "Some things will always be the same."
Aubrey: "This is something I really didn't miss."

Christian laughed as we both walked back to join the others.

It was around 6 pm when everything was ready for the feast. We all helped set up the whole place and began greeting that was coming. We all played games with the kids and took family photos. It was a great time and it helped me catch up with my Aunts, Uncles, grandparents and my cousins. I loved playing with my cousin's children because they were the cutest.
