Survival Of The Fittest

Chapter 4: Start

It was unpleasant cold night, the stars and moon were sheltered by the clouds. Every people inside the game were lying flat on the grass, sleeping. Lisa's team can't even make themselves asleep because of the happenings. Ella, the youngest one was sleeping soundly on Jennie's lap.

"It's freaking cold" Rosé shiver. She stroke her arms up and down to lessen the coldness. Irene was lying on down on Seulgi's lap while Seulgi was busy stroking her girlfriend's hair.

All of them were taking their rest beside a tree. They form themselves a circle but Lisa was resting herself a little bit far from them. She lean her back on the tree while fidgeting on a small branch of a wood. She look straight to her team and then someone approach her.

"Can't sleep?" Lisa look up and saw Jisoo smiling awkwardly to her. She took her sit beside Lisa and put her both arms on her knees

"How can I? I don't know what will happen tomorrow" Lisa mumbled. She look around and saw innocent people who will suffer starting tomorrow.

"I thought I'm just dreaming but it's hella true" Jisoo shake her head. She took a leaf of tree and tearing it off little by little.

"I feel bad for them especially for Ella. She's still a kid and she don't deserve anything like this" Lisa said, She look at her team. Seulgi got up from the ground when she saw her girlfriend already asleep.

Seulgi went near the two and look for a woods, Lisa and Jisoo look at each other and got up from sitting to help Seulgi.

"Want some help?" Jisoo asked Seulgi, she received a chuckle and continue looking for small branches of tree.

"They're freezing in cold, so I think we need to build a fire for them" Seulgi said.

Lisa nodded slowly and help her to find a woods. She shoved the tall grasses out of her way until she found a pieces of woods.

"How the two of you got inside?" Lisa asked, she carried the woods beside her waist while looking at the two who are busy looking for it

Jisoo stop and look at her "I'm busy playing that game when suddenly someone was pulling me inside the screen, Jennie was with me that time and she helped me to get out of that shit but she unwillingly got involved" Jisoo stated with her apologetic smile. Seulgi was flipping the small branch of tree and looking up to think.

"Me and Irene were busy fighting over that game, I called her to come over. I didn't intention to play that game while she's in my house but it feels like that game was calling out my name to play then suddenly we got surprised that we're surrounded by trees and tall grasses that it was supposed to be my room" Seulgi explained. She look back to check them and let out a sigh "I feel sorry for her, I should be here alone and she should be outside enjoying herself to work while Wendy I just saw her here since we both bought that game" She added.

"How about you? Is she your girlfriend?" Jisoo asked her while looking at Rosé who is trembling because of coldness.

"Rosé? Nah. She's my bestfriend" Lisa laugh at her and shake her head. She started to walk towards them and put the woods on the center.

Jisoo and Seulgi followed her and also put the collected woods on the center. Lisa search for a lighter on her clothes but she remembered that she had no reason to have a lighter with her.

Lisa started to rub the two woods, she remember the idea of building a fire using two woods from their camping years ago. Jisoo and Seulgi help her until they successfully made a fire. Lisa arrange the positions of the woods and she took her seat beside Rosé.

Jennie took off her jacket and cover it to Ella's body. Rosé extended her arms towards the fire to warmth herself.

"What do you think will happen tomorrow? I want to go home already" Wendy asked, she throw a small cutted woods on the fire.
