(Season 3 spoilers)

So we all know it's an AI that was built in the future and makes all their decisions. It also lives outside the bounds of time.

So I think Grant said that the director called "Protocol Omega" because it would lead up to the team figuring what they needed to do to save their timeline. Which I still don't understand.

And I read online, someone's theory:

That everything that happened from 001 being transported in the wrong body, was planned by the director.

And this makes no sense to be honest but maybe they meant that when 001 went rogue, the director knew they would screw everything up.

So it saved Kat because, as we saw in s3, she was the one to give him the T.E.L.L so that he could go back in time. This made the director seem like it wasn't some ruthless A.I but it looked like it might have done this for a different reason as stated above.

It also let David die because it led to Marcy being able to shoot herself (she was numb already). This stopped 001 from being able to get the code in her brain.

I think even letting the FBI get involved was on purpose too. I think that might have led to them being able to use Ilsa.

It's just so weird to think that everything that happened, from season 1, was planned for a reason by the director. This is a cool theory but it's just a theory for now.
