August 2018

Entering his room where Amelia was sound asleep in his bed with her body all tangled up in the covers as light snores left her mouth, Desmond smiled down at her as he began removing his work clothes and shoes to join her. He had just worked a long twelve hour shift and all he wanted to do right now was lay up and cuddle up with his baby girl and rest.

This was basically their daily routine, after work they would meet up at his apartment and would just chill and unwind from their long day together. They sometimes would go out for dinner or a movie, then some nights they would stay in and if Taylor was over then they'd have movie nights and play games just to keep her entertained.

Over the months Taylor and Amelia's bond and love for one another grew fast. Whenever they where in the same room as each other they where inseparable. They where like two peas in a pod, sometimes Amelia would style up hair trying different hairstyles she saw on a few youtube videos, or she would take her and get her nails and toes done just to have some girl time.

She was doing everything Tiffany wasn't and although Desmond hated to compare the mother of his child to his girlfriend, it was heartbreaking watching someone else do the things the mother should have been doing.

But he also knew Amelia kinda clung to Taylor as a way to cope with the lost of her child or the fact that she could never have kids again. Taylor was kind of that sense of hope and curiosity of what she imagined her child to be like.

Taylor was smart, outgoing, beautiful and talented in many ways and for her to be so young she was so wise and aware of things.

Amelia simply loved her because she was indeed a perfect child in her eyes. She knew how to make Amelia laugh when she was down, and she filled that empty spot of love from a child for Amelia and although Taylor didn't know this, Amelia was grateful for her and felt she met that little girl for a reason.
