I took a deep breath, and stepped out of the taxi. Lissa had taken advantage of the fact that she's a royal, and called Court, asking for Dimitri's address in Russia. The phone call took all of five minutes. Lissa had paid the taxi driver, while I stood frozen, staring at the house. I snapped out of it when she started tugging on my hand.

"Can't we just go back to the hotel, Liss?" I pleaded. She gave me a look that said she would drag me to the door if she could. I gave up, not wanting to upset her. "Fine"

I, hesitantly, walked up to the front door. It was a beautiful two story house, that definately looked like it has been around a while. I brought my fist up, and knocked on the door. My stomach lurched. And, it wasn't because of Strigoi. It was just me. The time seemed to drag on forever, but in reality it was only two minutes. A woman that looked to be in her fifties answered the door: Olena Belikova. She looked confused, but smiled anyways. I was about to say something, when I really looked at her. She had those same brown eyes as Dimitri. I shook away the hurt, and introduced myself.

I forced a smile onto my face. "Hi, my name is Rose Hathaway"

She gave me a warm smile. "I know. Why are you here? Not that I'm not happy to meet you--"

My eyes widened, and I had to cut her off. "You know who I am?"

"Of course. You... know my son"

I shook off the shock. Time to drop the bomb. "D-dimitri is kind of the reason why I'm here"

"Is he alright?" I didn't mean to worry her.

"For now" Lissa warned. I laughed. "I'm Lissa Dragomir" She held out her hand, and Olena shook it

"Sorry. Would like to come in?" Should I? It would probably be best.

I nodded my head, and she opened the door, ushering us in. We sat down in the living room, where I couldn't help but notice the books on the shelves. Dimitri had mentioned them once or twice. "Thank you. Um, did you know about Dimitri and I, Olena?"

She had a knowing smile. "Yes, dear. Dimitri talked to me a few weeks ago. I'm taking it you heard the news about him and Tasha?" her words were laced with venom when she said her name.

I couldn't help but smile. "Yes. I'm taking it you didn't like the news?"

"No, not one bit. I don't know why he would want to have kids with her, when you two were involved"

"I feel the same way" I muttered. "Okay, well, this may sound strange, but I have news to tell you... but you can't tell Dimitri"

She raised her eyebrow at me. "Sure thing"

"Well, I'm... pregnant with Dimitri's child"

She kind of froze, then pinched the bridge of her nose. "How is that even possible?"

"I, honestly, don't know. But, Dimitri is the only person I've ever been with"

She sighed. "You are welcome to stay here. I would love to get to know you. We all already love you from hearing about you from Dimitri. You two can stay in our guest room." When she saw I was about to protest, she held her hand up. "I want you to stay here. I want to know my grandchild. I want to be here for you"

I smiled. "Thank you, Olena"

"Mama!" Someone called from the kitchen. "Are you here?"

She came into the living room, and smiled. God, she looked so much ike Dimitri. I smiled back. She gave me a knowing look. "You're Roza, aren't you?"

I flinched at my nickname. I nodded. She smiled and gave me a huge hug. I hugged her back. She told us to follow her upstairs. Olena told her to let us stay in her room, since the only other room available used to belong to him. Yes, from now on he shall be him. Olena had called her "Viktoria". She looked a couple years younger than me. She was pretty, and I would bet that she has a boyfriend. Her brown hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail, and she wore a work-out outfit.

Viktoria told us to follow her upstairs, and we complied. When we reached the top of the stairs, there was a small hallway with three doors. For some reason, the door to the left was drawing me in. I touched the door, and Viktoria put a hand on my shoulder. I turned to look into her brown eyes, and I knew what was behind this door: Dimitri's room.

"Can I go into the room?" I whispered

"Only if you think you can handle it..."

I nodded, and turned the door knob. I took a deep breath, and walked in. I stood frozen in the doorway. It was like he was here. His scent. His personality. His books... I walked over to the bookcase and ran my fingers along the spines of the books, in total awe. Then, in the corner of his room, something reflective caught my eye: A picture of me. It was shortly after Mason died, and we had just made snow angels.

Looking down at the unbroken, foot-high snow, a crazy thought suddenly came to me. I let myself go, falling back-first to the ground. The thick snow embraced me, and I rested there a moment, taking comfort in lying down. Then I moved my arms and legs back and forth, carving out new hollows in the snow. When I finished, I didn't get up right away. I simply continued lounging, staring up at the blue blue sky.

"What," asked Dimitri, "are you doing? Aside from getting your sandwhich cold."

His shadow fell over me, and I looked up at his tall form. In spite of the cold, the sun was out, and its rays backlit his hair. He could've been an angel himself, I thought.

"I'm making a snow angel," I replied. "Don't you know what that is?"

"Yes, I know. But why? You must be freezing."

I had on a heavy winter coat, hat, gloves, and all the other requisite cold-weather accessories. He was right about the sandwhich. "Not so much, actually. My face is a little, I guess."

He shook his head and gave me a wry smile. "You'll be cold when you're in the car and all that snow starts melting."

"I think you're more worried about the car than about me"

He had ended up making a snow angel with me. Right when we were about to leave, he stopped me and asked me to lay back down in the snow. I had thought he was crazy. But, no, he had me lay down as he took a picture of me. Absentmindedly, I ran my fingers along the smooth glass that protected my picture. I turned to Viktoria.

"Why did he keep this?" I asked

Lissa came and sat down next to me, smiling at the picture. "You look so happy" she said. Through the bond, I knew she was jealous. For the same reasons I'm jealous of Christian: We're not the only ones who can make each other happy anymore.

"He had come home after the attack. I caught him putting this in his room... a couple days after he came home, Tasha..." Viktoria didn't like Tasha either, I guess. "stopped by. Dimitri and agreed to go out on a date with her... and now she's pregnant. I don't understand why he would do that"

"Me neither" I whispered

Viktoria, in a horrible attempt to change the topic, asked me a question that must be annoying her. "So, what are you doing here? Not that I don't want here"

I laughed. "Your... brother got me pregnant. I'm came to tell your mom"

She gasped. "How?"

"I don't know. Sorry"

"Was there anyone else...?"

"Nope. Just him"

"Have you told him?"

"Yes"

"And, he's not helping you?" She asked, outraged

"He doesn't know it's his. I tried to tell him, but he accused me of sleeping with another man... then, he told me about Tasha"

"I am so sorry"

"It's fine. Could I stay in this room?"

"I don't know if that's best..."

"I'll be fine." I assured her.
