Nicki POV

I was in the kitchen washing the dishes Meek's family decided to stay a few days after the party cause they wanna get to know Ayanna better which wasn't a good idea cause there is too much tension in this house Meek's aunt tries to mend their relationship but it somehow ends up in a heated argument and I don't want Ayanna to see the other Meek

"Can we talk?" Meek's mother said as she sat on a chair

"I'm still a bit busy" I said I've been avoiding her for the psst few days

"No it's okay I'll finish the dishes I just want to talk to you" I wiped my hands and sat with her

"So what do you want to talk about?"

"I just wanna get to know my future daughter in law, so where did you and Meek meet?" She asked with a smile

"We met at the club where I used to work"

"The club, oh interesting so how long have you two been together?"

"Almost a year"

"A year? So that means Ayanna is not Meek's real daughter?"

"Yes"

"You have my son raising another man's daughter, does she know her real father?"

"No"

"Do you know her real father?"

"No" I said lowly

"Nasheema was right you are a gold digging slut" she yelled I just looked at her

Meek came running into the kitchen

"You called her what?" He said looking angry

Her eyes widened and she looked at me the way Ayanna looks at me when she did something wrong

"I'm asking you a damn question" he yelled as he got closer to her

"Nothing" she mumbled

"Speak louder" he banged the counter

"Meek please" I said

"Shut up Onika, I asked you a question Kathy what did you say?"

"I'm sorry Meek" she started tearing up

"You're about to be sorry" he said as he pulled his gun out

"No no no Meek" I went over to him and tried taking the gun away

"Don't touch me Onika" he yelled at me I jumped and stood back

"I been tolerating ya nonsense for way too long I even let you sleep in my house, eat my food and this is the thank I get, you out here calling my woman names I won't let you treat her the way you treated me you treated me like trash" he started crying which also made me cry

"Yes I made mistakes but you're my son I love you I carried you for 9 months I fed you I dressed you because I love you" she said trying to touch him but he hit her hand with the gun

"You don't love me you never did" he said as he pointed the gun to her head

"Meek please put the gun down think about Ayanna and your grandma they won't be able to deal with that" I said trying to calm him down

"You don't know what this woman put me through don't tell me what to do" he yelled at me

"Yes I don't know but killing her here would change our lives forever Meek please think about it" he looked at me and lowered his gun

"Fine but as for you Kathy Williams your days are numbered" he pushed her and went outside

I looked at her and followed him he sat on the porch and lit up his blunt as he was about to put it between his lips I took it away from him and threw it away
