Jaewon felt the ends of his lips being pulled into a small smile as he nudged Minsung's foot under the table. Taking a long sip of his milkshake, he admired the cotton-candy-haired boy underneath the neon lights of the diner and felt content. Jaewon couldn't remember how many dates they had here, but he knew in his heart this was their spot and there was never any place he felt happier.
Minsung raised an eyebrow at him, a smile blooming to match Jaewon's own, before parting his lips and letting his voice drip with amusement and saying, "I know I'm good-looking, but you don't have to stare" With that, a blush spread furiously over Jaewon's face and he pulled his hood over his face, letting a groan escape his lips.
"I was just thinking about how happy I was with you, and then you had to go and ruin it with your cockiness," Jaewon huffed, and that only seemed to humor Minsung further, because he looked ready to speak again.
"I thought my cockiness is why you took an interest in me," the elder responded, the end of the sentence trailing into a soft chuckle. Jaewon pursed his lips in response but knew part of the sentence was correct. He fell for Minsung for a multitude of reasons, and his confidence had been one of them. It was what made Minsung, well, him.
Jaewon was drawn out of his thoughts by the other reaching across the table and grasping his hand. The pink returned quickly to his cheeks, and the other pressed a kiss to his knuckles. Warmth spreading throughout his chest, he felt happy, and contentedly in love. It wasn't the first time he felt that, and it wouldn't be the last.
"I love you."
