"You're making a mess everywhere" I laughed at Jess while she posed for a picture
"I'm not trying to!" She exclaimed as she laughed along with me
I took another picture of her and right after she dropped her chopsticks and noodles went everywhere
"We're gonna get kicked out" I told her
"No! They love me here" She said, "Isn't that right Annie?" She asked the girl who had served us
"Of course" Annie reassured her "We just love picking up after you" She added, making me snort out of laugh and Jess' jaw drop
We finished our noodles and gave a tip before making our way back to school
"Zach isn't coming today?" Jess asked me
"He can't" I told her "He has two huge labs to do in bio" I added
"That sucks" She replied
I nodded
"Has Montgomery tried to reach out to you again?" I asked her
"I've been getting texts here and there since Monday and he texted me apologizing and then we kinda talked a bit yesterday" She answered, "Why?" She questioned
"He keeps messaging me and I just find it annoying because if he really wanted to talk he should do it in person, and then Justin the other day was like he's really sorry, and then Zach is telling me to just text him back but I truly don't see a point in that. When Jeff stopped talking to me that one time, he didn't come apologizing to me through text and that's why I forgave him because he showed that he truly cared. And now with Montgomery, I don't know." I ranted to her
"Yeah I get what you mean but Monty isn't like Jeff and you gotta realize that" Jess told me "If he didn't care, he wouldn't still be messaging you. Trust me" She added
"Yeah, I guess. I just feel like texting an apology is so not genuine" I sighed
"You'll figure it out, you always do" She reassured me
"Thanks, Jess" I hugged her from beside
She hugged me back
We kept talking until we arrived at school where we went to the changing room and got ready
