Clementine felt like it should be the time where the date should start, so she let ruby take care of Aj for now while she headed out onto the beach to look for Louis.
" I see you didn't forget about the time, so I'm guessing I must be that special for you." Louis smiled at Clem, coming from behind her.
"Maybe you are, or maybe I would really like to go on this date right now." Clem hugged Louis lovingly, and he hugged her back.
"Well the group is using the towels to dry off so I made sure the food was in a bag for you." Louis sat on the Sandy ground, while Clementine smirked at how charming he was.
"Well... I guess we'll be ending up with our clothes getting sandy by the end of this date." Clementine giggled, and grabbed the bag Louis had the food in.
"Thank you Clem, I owe you everything." Louis said with a serious tone, that made Clem wonder what was wrong.
"Everything for what Louis?" Clem asked, bringing an apple out of the bag with food.
"For being here to protect the group, even after how we treated you after Marlon's death. You almost risked your life, for ours.... Why? Louis looked Clem in the eyes when he asked that question.
Clem had the choice to say because y'all made me find a reason to keep fighting, y'all were desperate, I don't know, or stay silent.
"Y'all made me find a reason to keep fighting I guess. I couldn't just leave y'all to get taken or get killed even if we lost people along the way." Clementine told Louis.
Clementine and Louis both stared at each other as there faces got warmer. They could honestly stay like that forever, but Louis broke it by shaking his head.
"Well let's move onto happier things if I may, like the fact that this place is literally next to a beach." Louis and Clem both looked out into the ocean wondering what's beyond the horizon.
"I've never been to a beach before, but it's amazing to see now." Clementine smiled while her hand rested on her knee.
"You know... Before the walkers came, my parents would always bring me to this place we'd always go to. I got so tired of it because that's where we'd go every summer, and every day while on vacation we'd go to the beach. I honestly hated the beach, but my mom loved it. Now that I'm back at the beach after so many years I regret saying that I hate it." Louis face looked upset for a second, but Clem put her hand on his.
"But there are many guys out there that you deserve. I don't have good survival skills like you or the rest of the group. So why me?" Louis asked, as Clementine shook her head at his questionable personality.
"I think I deserve you." Clem reached her hand to cup the side of Louis face and expected for herself to kiss him first but instead he made the move this time and kissed Clementine.
Clementine was living this moment to the fullest, and opened her eyes to see that Louis was staring at her while giggling in the kiss. She felt embarrassed and broke the kiss.
"Louis." Clem whined.
"I'm sorry, I'll make up for the apology. How about another kiss?" Louis begged as he was still laughing.
Clementine thought on saying no, but something else was telling her that she just needed to kiss him. So she kissed him one more time but this one was quicker.
They continued on with their date, and headed inside when it got darker.
"Guess I'll see you and Aj tomorrow." Louis shrugged his shoulder while scratching the back of his head.
