Thanks again guys for 4K reads!! I'm so happy you like this story so much!

Max rasps the Flint and steel together to ignite the wood. I drew my knees up to my chest, burying my face into my hinges, sort of sobbing on the inside. The radiance of the fire displayed on my miserable appearance, as Max took notice. He powders the ashes from the wood off his body before sauntering over to me. He sat down next to me, taking a few quick glances at my face as if he was thinking about what to say. We sat in silence for a few minutes, before he spoke up, "Is something bothering you?". I bit my lower lip mildly, as my gaze trailed to the window, which had zombies and creepers generating outside of it. "Before I got trapped in that cave", I muttered, trying to convince myself to speak up. "I saw him". Max was utterly perplexed, and had no clue what I meant by 'him'. I inhaled the smokey and foggy atmosphere. "Herobrine. I saw Herobrine", I let out, a little hostile than I anticipated. "He was right there in front of me. I should've said something. Done something. Anything!". Max looked back at the blaze. I couldn't tell if he understood my point or if he was still confused. "You saw Herobrine while running to the cave, correct?", he asked. I nonchalantly nodded with a bit of frustration simmering inside me for acting like a chicken.

Max narrowed his eyebrows. "Then, why are you so quiet? Are you scarred? Was it because--". "I'm a coward!", I spat out, tightly closing my eyes as I stiffly clenched my fists. "I can't believe I actually thought I could be a hero. I can't even stand up to a villain. I'll never be like the Order", I once again, sank my head into my knees and gritted my teeth, trying to hold back the tears. "I'll never be a hero". Max, however, begged to differ, as he took my chin and lifted my head so I could secure eyes with his. This felt...surprisingly unnatural. "(Y/N), that's not true. You risked everything to bring Herobrine down. If that make's you anything, it's a hero". His hands moved to cup my, now bright, fiery and very rosy cheeks as I tried to wrap my head around the situation I was in at this moment. "You're my hero", he breathed, smiling affectionately at me.

What is happening right now? He clutched my jowls persistently and used his grasp to attract me closer. His grip didn't feel passionate. It felt possessive. It felt like he was trying to keep the entire world from being in my vision as he still brought me closer. Is he trying to—?

At this point, we were barely inches away from each other. Me, being modest and humble, I was just sitting there like an idiot. This felt wrong. I shouldn't do this. I can't do this. So, why am I hesitating to push him back? What's wrong with me? The edge of our noses grazed against each other, as my eyes began to moderately close.

Wait!

What am I doing?

What am I thinking?

I can't kiss Max!

I orbs jolted open and shoved me back into reality. Oh, crap! He's going to kiss me. I hastily skimmed my hands onto his chest and casually pushed him back to create an extended distance between us. "Uh...Hey, look! A dolphin!", I restlessly pointed outside the stained glass to see a festive, dolphin, gliding around the large lake just outside town. Max peered back at me with a cynical look which surprisingly made me anxious. Did he know I was trying to prevent the kiss? Is he mad? But, soon, the scepticism washed away into a gratified grin. "Dolphins are nice", he utterly added. For the rest of the night we basically just gaped outside the window, hoping to see something worth discussing. Despite the fact that he endeavoured the hold my hand, AFTER, he attempted the kiss me, everything was alright. But, I was still groggy from that experience. Why did Max try to kiss me?

"Come on, Jesse, focus!". Jesse swayed his head, trying to pull himself back to existence. This was the 5th time he was exposed daydreaming about, who-knows-what. He wasn't aware he was fantasising. His mind just rambled everywhere. "Sorry! My bad", he sheepishly replied, going back into his defence stance. Petra came in at a tremendous velocity, only to be barred and thrust back by Jesse's sword. Jesse advanced obstructing each strike from Petra, despite his lack of concentration. Petra wasn't exactly focusing either. Her mind was still set on telling Jesse about (Y/N). She didn't get to tell him earlier as she was interposed by Axel, who inconveniently walked in at the moment she was about to spill. Who cares if Jesse will be upset?, she tensed her fists. Telling Jesse the truth is all that matters...right? Although her conclusions were somewhat true, Petra still couldn't bare the sight of seeing her friend unhappy. Maybe she should just...let it slide. Not paying attention, Jesse swished his sword to Petra's feet, forcing against it, causing her to topple over. After the impact took place, Petra bestowed a scowl at Jesse's self-satisfied grin. "Oh yeah! Victory!", he boasted, not bothering to help Petra up on her feet. She rolled her eyes, persistently and stood up, placing an envious grimace on her face. Petra wasn't someone who took losing very well. "Whatever, I let you win", she crossed her arms and scrunched up her nose as her grudging peer pursued elsewhere. Jesse chuckled at Petra's resentment, as he found it very amusing. He walked to the wooden chest in the middle of the room, swung it open and placed the sword back into it. It's now or never, Petra conceived, taking a few faltering steps towards Jesse.
