Be Good As A Child In Church

Be Good as a child in Church,
And put to end this futile search.
Remember, ghost don't sleep;
They capture the fantasies of runaway sheep.

Be Good as a child in Church,
And beware the vulture's perch.
They feed on the flesh of young bloods.
They survive on the hopes of newborn optimistic flower-buds.

Be Good as a child in Church,
Don't hunger or thirst for euphoric urge.
It is Pharisee; smothering reverie.
They are the things that should not be memory.

Be Good as a child in Church,
And you'll learn to leave them in the lurch.
Recite to memory and preach to the searching and wean.
The unsouled need console but only the lost can be cleaned.

Being Good as a Child in Church;
Ever since I was fifteen, when my mind went in search.
Of big hopes and labyrinth roads and colds alone.
Telling you: I was told that hopes is a hanging rope for my soul.
