-Jess’s point of view-

I didn’t go into school for the rest of the week. I told everyone that I went to stay in Perth with my family for a couple of weeks. It was the best I could come up with, I just needed to think. I decided I needed to get out the house for an hour and considering everyone was in school I decided to go in to the central and just walk about. All week I’d been thinking about the baby and how everyone would react. I decided I couldn’t get an abortion even if that meant everyone leaving me. It didn’t take me long to get there as therewasn’t much traffic. I decided to go get a few leaflets on pregnancy so I could find out more, I also got a few weekend job applications. I was serious about keeping the baby. I had been walking around for about an hour when I saw Beau walking with two other boys in my direction. I turned around hoping he hadn’t seen me, too late.

-Beaus point of view-

‘Jess, I thought you were in Perth. Wait up.’ I called after her. I didn’t understand. She had told everyone she was in Perth. Why was she here on here own? Why didn’t she come see me? I finally caught up with her grabbed from behind the waist. She seemed scared at first. Until she realised it was me.

‘Jess, didn’t you hear me calling your name?’

‘Ermm, no, sorry.’

‘I thought you were in Perth’

‘I decided to come back early and errm surprise you’

‘Ohh, I’ve missed you so much.’

‘I’ve missed you too.’ She seemed as if she had something on her mind.

‘Why don’t we go back to mine and we can talk?’

She agreed. She seemed distant the whole time back. Thankfully Mum was working late today and the boys were still at school. When we got in I decided to make us some drinks so we could talk. I could tell something was wrong with her. We had been sitting in silence for around an hour and I knew the boys would be back soon. I wanted Jess to be happy when she saw them so I decided to see if I could finally get something out of her.

Jess, what’s the matter?’ I looked right into her eyes.

She just burst into tears. ‘I was never in Perth Beau’

‘Where were you then?’ I was confused.

‘At home.’ She was still crying.

‘Why didn’t you tell me? I would of come seen you everyday.’ I pulled her in close and hugged her.

‘I didn’t know how you’d react. I’m so sorry. It’s ok if you want to break up with me.’

‘Jess what’s happened?’

‘I’m pregnant.’
