07 - Date

I couldn't sleep. I was worrying about Taeyong and Johnny, even though I shouldn't care.

Screw it.

I went downstairs and made two flasks of coffee and got some leftover meals. I put on my sliders and trudged to their car.

I tapped on the dark window, squinting to see inside. To my surprise Taeyong rolled down the window and glared at me. Johnny was asleep.

"Er - I thought, you might erm need these," I say holding up my offerings.

Taeyong looked forward and then back to me.

"You haven't drugged them have you?" He said dryly.

"I supposed you'll find out," I laughed as I handed them to him and he graciously took them. I almost forgot what happened earlier.

"Thanks," he said sincerely, his eyes glinting under the stars. It was like looking into a pool of water.

"Night," I say as I walk back into my house.

"Night." Taeyong whispered after I was too far away to hear.

The next morning was Saturday, finally a lie in.

Wait. I have that double date. Oh crap.

I quickly looked at the time.

10:00

I was supposed to meet them at 11. In an hour? Oh God.

I ran to my wardrobe and quickly pulled together an outfit; a long sleeved shirt, denim skirt with my converse. I let my loose waves flow down my back and applied some makeup and ran out of the house, Mum was still asleep.

As I was about to walk to the cafe where we were meeting at Taeyong stopped me.

"Where are you going?" I looked at him as I realised he never went home, he looked tired but still his harsh glare went straight through me.

"I'm meeting a friend and I'm late," I said as I started speed walking.

"Well we have to come with you," Taeyong said as Jaehyun and Taeil appeared out of nowhere.

"No, no, NO."

"Yes, yes, yes," Jaehyun smiled at me as he came up beside Taeyong.

"Fine, whatever but don't make it obvious, please, just hang back a bit." I can't believe I had to take three men with me on a date, this was getting ridiculous, thanks Dad.

"We don't even know you," Taeil looked at me innocently.

I sighed and started walking again, looking at the time.

10:48

I ran.

When I got outside the cafe at 11:03 I brushed my wind swept hair out my face and tried to look decent. I stepped in and was greeted with the smell of coffee, I noticed Lily next to Lucas and the back of my date's head.

I didn't have time to be nervous this morning, but I sure as hell was now. I walked over and heard the door behind me, assuming it was the three boys following me.

I smiled as I went over to the table, Lily gleaming and holding onto Lucas. I gotta hand it to her, he really is attractive.

"Hi, Eunji, this is Lucas and this is his friend Jungwoo."

I smiled at the boy as he smiled back angelically. He looked so soft and kind.

"Hi Eunji, I'm Jungwoo."

"Hi, nice to meet you," I said as I sat down.

I over heard Taeil a table behind me saying "She's on a date?".

"Oh my gosh."

I sighed as I thought about them watching me on a date, my first date aswell.

The date went pretty well, Jungwoo was so nice and he spoke to me when Lucas and Lily were too busy looking into each other's eyes.

When we parted ways, I said bye to Lily, then Jungwoo offered to walk me home. I accepted since I'd rather walk with him than Taeyong. We strolled back under the warming sun, I was actually really enjoying myself.

When we got to my door he stood smiling at me.

Jungwoo reached over and pecked my cheek lightly, "Eunji, you're really nice but I think we should be just friends."

"Me too," I smiled back at the boy, I could never go out with him, he was untainted, unlike me. He was so cute and innocent.

"Thanks for a really nice day Eunji," the bright boy said as he skipped away from my house. I smiled at him leaving until I saw Taeyong and gang staring at me. I frowned and mouth "What?"

Taeyong shook his head and then walked over to me.

"Have a nice time?" He said with a smirk.

"I did, thanks," I replied with attitude.

"Well you won't be seeing him again."

"Why?!"

"Orders from above."

I couldn't believe they'd told my father I went on a date, what a bunch of snakes. I looked behind at Jaehyun and Taeil awkwardly standing next to their car.

"I hate you," I said as I turned around and stomped into my house. So what if I wanted to date him? It's my choice.
