4. Velvet box (part2)

A/N: hi y'all this is part two of the 4000 word story, I have never written that much at once for anything, not even an essay for college xD anyway let's get to it.

"okay so his name is Ryan Steven Bergara, he's 5'9, has short raven black hair with a fringe that he wears down sometimes like he had today, he has these gorgeous chocolate brown eyes with just a tiny shade of lighter brown in the middle, he's strong and muscular in the arms and chest but not too muscular, he was wearing his favourite grey sweater, mine actually which he stole and black jeans with some brown boots, identical as these actually" Shane lift his foot up to show the man and woman "I had them for like 10 years and Ryan really liked them so he got a pair himself, uh anyway, he was wearing a light brown long trench looking coat that has a Laker badge on it, yeah he didn't have anything else on apart from what I've said" Shane looked up to the people infront of him with teary eyes "here, it's okay Shane, we will try our best to find this man, okay? Just go home and try to relax, he might come home soon, we'll get to work right now" "wait Shane, is this what your loved one looks like" the woman turned around her page and revealed a drawing almost as perfect as Ryan himself "wow...that's him...I love him so much" the woman smiled "it shows, that's one of the best descriptions anybody has given me before. Good job" the curly haired woman rose from her seat "thank you Sara for being amazing as usual" Chief Lucio waved her away. "Anyway Shane, what's your full name by the way?" "Oh yeah Shane Alexander Madej, just so you know if Ryan is angry he calls me Alexander, when he's upset or tired or out of it he calls me Shaney, just so you know incase he says it" Shane stumbled to explain "adorable, okay well you just head home and I'll give you personal phone updates every so often?" Shane nodded as he sleepily dragged himself to the door before walking all the way home.

Shane unlocked the front door, and walked in slowly, he scanned the room for Ryan but nothing. "I'm sorry" Shane noticed the table still set for dinner with flowers and everything, he noticed a small box and he opened it "*gasp* Ryan...fuck I'm so sorry" Shane removed the ring from the box and read the engravings "I want to watch the hot daga forever with you" "fuck I love you Ryan" Shane pulled the ring close to his chest before sliding it onto his finger and holding his hand close to his chest, Shane then noticed his own box he threw earlier and placed it on the table too, he decided to write a note just incase Ryan showed up to sneakily grab clothes whilst Shane slept "Ryan, I'm so sorry, I am forever grateful for you. You own my heart, I never did anything you think I did, I promise. I had no idea she said those things. I'm sorry, please if you're reading this, just let me explain myself, please let's just talk. You own my heart, you are my heart, I'm home alone and it doesn't feel like home without you, I feel so empty not knowing if you okay or not, I'm so scared Ry, I love you to the moon and back and I love you so much more than I love the Hot Daga but without you there's no love inside of me to give out. You're like my life support, I need you to feel alive and like myself, I went to the police station to report you missing and they drew you and it just reminded me how much I miss your face, if you never get to read this...if I never get to see your face again ...if I never get to look into those beautiful brown eyes of yours, I will...well I'm sure we know what would happen...all I want right now is my little Rybear to be in my arms. I am in love with you Ryan Steven Bergara. Nobody else, just you" Shane signed his name at the bottom and kissed the page.

Ryan shivered "this is it..."

Shane sniffed and sighed before falling asleep kissing his left hand, the ring against his lips.

Shane's phone ran, unknown number, he looked at the clock and sighed "4 hours past and still no sign of Ryan" Shane said to himself before answering the call "Mr Madej? is that you?" the similar voice of Chief Lucio spoke "uh yes officer, I mean Chief, yes I'm Shane" Shane sat up from the sofa "I tried to call earlier but I assume you were asleep?" Shane wiped his eyes "sorry Chief it's been a long day, I must've fallen over" Chief Lucio laughed "it's not an issue. I trust you're okay then?" Shane looked around "as okay as I can be, I'm terrified, I can't help but think the worst thing, that's been 9 hours I haven't seen him since, that's scary" Chief Lucio sighed "I know it's tough Mr Madej, we're trying our best to search for him, do you know of anywhere he could've gone?" Shane thinks until "YES! I do, where are you? I'll come meet you and take you there" the Chief of police sounded taken a back by this outburst "Shane I'd rather you stayed home and rested" "please? I know he'll be here!" "Fine. I'll send a car over to pick you up immediately" "thank you" Shane ended the call and jumped up immediately, he changed clothes immediately as he'd been wearing the same thing when since he woke up and started work almost a full 20 hours ago. The police car hooted the horn outside the house and Shane grabbed the two boxes on the table and stuffed them into his coat pocket. "Hello Shane" "hi" the police officer put on the sirens and they whizzed through traffic to get to the police. Shane hopped out "Chief Lucio, we have to go to the drive in movie theatre. He will be there. He has to be" Lucio nodded "let's go then" Shane hopped into Lucio's car and the other officers got into their own. "So why here?" Chief asked "well it's where we first met and where we had our first date, is like our date night site but we haven't been in forever" Shane took off the ring and placed it back in its box before placing it in his pocket "I see. Well lets go search for him" Shane looked up and sighed, he was terrified more than ever. The police searched the entire lot, asking if anybody has seen the small man. Shane bought a small popcorn and left an unintentional trail as he walked to the spot him and Ryan always sat, he plopped himself down, crying, "I'm such a failure, you're gone and I'm never getting you back, I'm so sorry" Shane took a handful of popcorn and threw it off the edge of the little hill he was sat upon, "Mr Madej!" Shane looked up to search for the voice "Alexander!" Shane's head shot up again "that voice! I know that voice" Shane jumped up and searched and spun in a circle to try see the man shouting his name. He saw nobody nothing, he couldn't even see the police officers anymore "I'm truly going insane" Suddenly an image snapped onto the giant movie screen, a photo of Ryan smiling as beautiful as ever, "...my boy" Shane started crying again then music started up and the images changed to more photos of Ryan with Shane. It went through the first photo they ever got together as friends and then the date and first photo of them as a couple, their first anniversary, their second, their third, their fourth only a few months ago, the show stopped and Shane looked to the ground below him, nobody was there anymore, no police, nobody "this is just a nightmare right? Or I have just gone that insane without him that I'm hallucinating him, aren't I?" Shane asked the sky "are you?" Shane turned around the voice "Shaney?" Shane's eyes light up "Ry? Is that really you? I'm not insane?" "Yes. Yes. No you're still crazy" Ryan ran towards Shane and jumped into a hug "yeah crazy about you" Shane kissed his soulmate. "Wait...I have a question Shane" Ryan stepped back looking sad "I have one too" Shane stood tall with a soft smile in his face

"will you marry me" the men both said in unison as they both kneeled down revealing the little velvet boxes to the other at the same time. "wait what?" Both the men stood up and look at each other in shock "I mean yes!" Ryan said "Yes to you too" the two men laughed and kissed and an eruption of clapping and whistling cane from below, Shane watched as like a hundred people were all looking at them so happy "how what when?" Shane asked completely dumbfounded "well I had this planned for us tonight anyway but other things happened, of course, Chief Lucio and the officers found me earlier and they called you to tell you but you fell asleep so when he called again and you answered he had you on loud speak and decided to not tell you and let you figure it out yourself which you did because you're smart and I love you. Then in the car you dropped my ring box out of your pocket so luckily Lucio was able to get it and give me it and I knew you'd get popcorn and come up here because we do that, you're so smart and adorable and I love you with everything in my heart, I'm sorry for doubting you I was just scared and stressed over proposing anyway so I believed anything anybody would say to me and here we are and I'm sor-" Shane shut the smaller boy up with a kiss making the crowd clap again "I love you" "I love you too" Ryan rest his head again Shane's chest "wait! Did he say yes?" Chief Lucio shouted up and everybody went silent "oh shit yeah, we both said yes" Shane shouted back making everybody laugh and clap again. "I love you and our little velvet boxes"
