Today was the day, it was the last day on earth and you were going to have dinner with your family and you were going to bring Keith with you. They knew you were bringing someone but didn't know who. You didn't want them to tell you no.

You had gotten dressed in Allura's dress she gave you last year. You wore it often now. Keith loved it. He would always spin you around just to make you giggle at how your dress flared out at the bottom.

Keith walked in and you smiled. You took his hand and dragged him out the door. "Come on, Baby. We'll be late."

He chuckled and let me pull him down the hall.

"So they have no idea who I am and no idea that we're dating."

"Yep." You said and pulled him down a familiar road.

You walked to the last one on the street and stopped. You took a deep breath. This would be the last time you'll see this house for who knows how long.

"Babe?" He asked.

You hummed and pulled him up to him up to the door. You knocked and took his hand. Your mother answered and smiled. Then she noticed you holding h ads with Keith and her smile dropped.

"This is Keith." You said introducing him.

"I know." She said with disgust and opened the door and you glared at your mother.

"Mother." You warn.

You pulled Keith in and you lead him to the table where the rest of the family was. They hadn't started yet but your father and two siblings were sitting at the table with their spouses. You both took the last remaining seats. You didn't drop his hand; you held it quite tightly under the table.

"I'm glad you could finally make it. I didn't expect that you'd be coming. I thought you'd just run off again." Your mom 'joked'.

"Mother."

"Keith, why did you take my daughter into space?" Your mother asked.

"Excuse me?" He asked looking between us.

"You think I forced her?" Keith asked.

"Yes, of course." Her mother said.

"I tried to make her stay."

"Sure you did. I've read up about you. I'm sure you didn't want to be abandoned again. Orphan. How depressing." You stood up so violently that the chair slammed on the floor. You storm of and leave Keith with your impossible mother.

Keith picked up the chair and apologized and excused us from the table. He ran out of the room whispering your name. You burst into tears and he pulled you into his arms.

He was shaking pretty bad, he was probably very angry and it was all your fault. "I'm sorry I brought you here. You should never have to go through that."

"It's fine. I've heard it all before. It's nothing new, you know this." He said kissing your forehead.

"I know, but that's not the point. I thought this was going to be a fantastic dinner. I thought this was going to be one great night before we had to go back for who knows how long." You complain banging your head against his chest.

He chuckled and held you, you both slowly rocked back and forth holding each other. "Tonight... it doesn't have to be perfect. At least we are here together."

You nodded and you sighed. "We have to go finish dinner."

"Do you want to? I don't want you to say or even do something you'll regret."

You nodded and let him go. You took a deep breath. You then noticed your family standing in the doorway. You rolled your eyes and pulled Keith behind you and sat back down.

You didn't talk the rest of the dinner. You never wanted to come back ever again. It's your family, but when they act like this.... do they really deserve to stay in your life?
