Shiro x Reader

It was one week until you were set to leave on the IGF-Atlas. At the moment you were getting ready for a going away party at your aunt's house. she was one of the few left with a car and she was coming to get you. You were very excited because your aunt told you there would be alcohol.

"Where are you going?" Shiro asked.

"Out to a party with my family," you said with a smile.

"make sure nobody is drinking and driving, I'm being serious." Hunk said leaving the table.

"Don't worry about it hunk. we are responsible adults."

"you are not even 21," Lance said.

'what they don't know won't hurt them." I said kissing Shiro on the lips and gave him a tight hug. "ill be back around midnight. if not then make sure you check up on me."

you knew that walking home at night would be the worst idea, anything could happen. you were very cautious nowadays. you gave specific times you'll be home and specific instructions. the whole shebang. you can never be too careful.

your name was announced down over the speakers to the main office and you smiled. you gave everyone a quick and hug and ran out of the door. you stopped to give a quick wave and blow a kiss to Shiro.

"I have to leave, thank you for everything, auntie."

"don't be silly. let me drive you home." you gave a nod and said goodbyes to all of your family. you both get into the car.

"your not drunk, right?" you asked.

"of course not," she lied. you were a little too drunk to spot the lie.

you both sped off down the road and you leaned your head against the passenger window. you noticed the slight swerving of the car on the road but you thought nothing of it. suddenly you froze. the car swerved off the road and right to a tree.

you woke up laying on the hood of the car with large pieces of glass in your side and in your leg. you screamed out your aunt's name. you looked for your aunt but she was nowhere to be found. you laid there crying and yelling her name for a while before you pass out.

you woke to a whisper, you in in the medical bay of the Atlas. you sat up to see Shiro and Allura talking quietly on the other side of the room. "Shiro?"

he turns toward you and almost burst into tears. he hurried over and kissed you. " I'm so happy you're awake. you came out of the pod unconscious. its been three days and you hadn't woken up."

"my aunt."

"is fine. she's back on earth and barely had a scratch. we'll let her know about your condition." Allura said leaving the room.

"wait, I missed it?"

"Missed what?" he asked pulling up a chair.

"missed the launching of the Atlas. I had a speech to give." you whined and groaned. "that's what I get, huh?"

"we told you." he said. "you didn't listen and almost lost your left leg. you had to get in a car with someone who was drinking, didn't you."

you felt horrible, but you learned your lesson.

(A/N) don't drink and drive kids. don't even think about getting in the car with anyone who is drunk! BE SAFE. yes, this is a poorly done one-shot. I'm sorry.
