It was a calm winter morning in Boston, and Simone was happy to enjoy her hot cup of coffee with Tyler in her arms as they relaxed on the enclosed porch in the back. Tyler was fast asleep against her chest, little legs on either side of her body as Simone sipped her coffee and kissed his head sporadically.

"Daddy?" Tyler murmured.

"He's at the gym, bubba. He'll be home soon." Simone replied and Tyler relaxed once more. Snow fell gently against their backyard, shrouded in trees for privacy. Chris loved it in the back of the house, and he had bought a futon to put on the back porch and with his own two hands made the porch enclosed. It took him two weeks.

Tyler was in his race car pajamas, and Simone had swaddled his body in a big, fluffy blanket so she could take him outside. "Mommy, the snow is so bright."

"Yes it is, my love."

"I love you, Mommy."

"I love you too."

"Are you gonna marry Daddy?"

She went quiet, taking in a deep breath. "I dunno, baby. Do you want Mommy to marry Daddy?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, baby. I'll keep that in mind."

"Am I gonna ever meet my other Daddy?"

"What do you mean?"

"I know Chris didn't um, didn't make me with Mommy. He is just my Daddy."

Simone sighed. "Maybe, honey. We'll see." Her head turned to hear Chris's black BMW pull into the home's driveway. When she realized that Tyler was fast asleep again, she didn't dare move.  Ten minutes later, the back door opened.

"Ah, there you are." Simone pressed a finger to her lips and lifted up the blanket to show Tyler's sleeping face. Chris smiled gently and bent down to kiss the top of Tyler's head, then peck Simone's lips. "Hey 'Monie," He breathed out.

"You're not gross and sweaty."

He chuckled. "I took a shower at the gym." Chris explained, then took a seat next to her on the futon. "The snow's insane, huh?"

"Yeah. Cold too."

"Do you like it?"

"I do. My entire family hates the snow but I love it." She sighed. "Tyler's home for today."

"Did school get shut down today or is he sick?"

"It got shut down." Simone responded. Tyler shifted in her arms and his head moved more into the crook of her neck. She rubbed his back and he let out a soft grunt.

"Mommy, I'm hungry." Tyler whispered.

"Okay well Daddy's home." She said and he lifted his head. His hair was all smashed on one side and Simone giggled, fixing it up a bit and kissing his forehead.

"Hey buddy, I'm home." Chris said and immediately Tyler raised his arms up to be lifted. Chris took the little boy willingly into his arms and kissed the side of his head. "Let's get some breakfast in your belly, yeah? I'll cook. But first, go get some real clothes on, bud." He laughed, setting Tyler down and watching him run upstairs. Chris returned to the back porch and laid down on the futon with his head in Simone's lap, staring up at her.

"Hi baby," She said sweetly, running her fingers through his hair, still slightly wet from his shower. He turned and wrapped an arm around her body and pressed his face into her stomach. "You're here for two and a half weeks?"
