OMG!!! I'm in the double digits for chapters! I present you chapter 10! I'm actually really proud with this one. I keep saying this, but I'm most likely getting a new laptop saturday or at least searching for one! Also, personal life but so far I'm not enjoying high school all that much. I hate being the youngest and it is giving me so much anxiety I've had stomach aces the past few days and almost got sick. it is also lowering my self esteem but whatever -.- But enjoy this chapter! C:
My conversation with Jonathan ended with Maryse coming in through the kitchen door needing Jonathan to get more traces on Sebastian. He looked at me.
“You going to be okay? You defiantly hit your head hard, and I think people could hear the pop of your wrist from a mile away”
I cringed. “Fine. I’ve had worst.”
He frowned. “I wish that wouldn’t happen.”
“It happens to all shadowhunters.”
He frowned again and looked like he was going to say something, but thought against it. Then he got up and said, “Thanks. For the conversation. It helped.”
I smiled. “anything to help Johnny.”
He was at the door. “Too nice you are Little Red.” And walked out. I smirked then remembered Jace was waiting for me. I grabbed an apple and got up. I was walking through the hallway and couldn’t find him. Damn him. I thought he said he would be near. I turned a corner and ran into someone and felt something fall on my head. Ouch. It was alight object, but it still made my head throb, considering it was wrapped.
“Clary!” I heard an all too familiar voice. “Sorry, I need to tighten my glasses. They keep falling off. How are you feeling?”
I looked up and saw Simon. He is getting his memory back here and there, but won’t be ever the same again. The thought of that made me want to tear up, but the thought of being stuck in a demon realm was far worst. I think.
“Good. Everyone keeps asking me that.”
“We are worried about you.”
“Yeah yeah yeah. How are you and Isabelle?” I said while grinning. I never really got to ask him.
‘Changing the subject much, Fray?”
“Just curious. And it is one the million wonders of the world.”
“Since when does my love life involve you?”
“Since I’m your best friend you jackass!” he laughed as I punched his arm.
“Ow. You throw a hard one.”
“Please, that wasn’t even my best.” I said. If only my left wrist wasn’t broken.
“Well I’m going to the kitchen for lunch. I would ask you if you want something but,” he gestures at the apple in my hand which I just took a bite of, “I see you already got something.”
“I have to look for Jace anyway.”
He made googly eyes. “Oh the golden Jace.” He said while walking away.
“Shut up.”
“see ya”
“Wouldn’t wanna be ya” I finished.
I walked for another minute and all of a sudden stopped. Something didn’t feel right. I looked to my right which was a door. I crept to it and slowly opened it.
What was inside wasn’t what I wanted to see.
Sebastian.
Holding a knife to a guy's throat with blonde hair and golden eyes.
Jace.
My apple dropped to the floor.
