We're A Mess (MiRza/ErMi)

When Mirajane woke up, she was alone on the bed. She was somewhat confused until she remembered Erza had a habit of waking up very early in the morning. Remembering what happened yesterday, Mirajane felt herself smile and even blush a little. Mirajane turned her head to the opening door, revealing Erza as she entered.

"Hey, Mira, I made breakfast for us!" She said. Mirajane nodded in response, getting up.

"Thanks, sweetheart." Mirajane cooed, enjoying the sight of Erza's face slowly becoming a color similar to her hair.

"H-huh? Nicknames already?" Erza asked, seeming a little embarrassed. Mirajane wrapped her arms around Erza's neck, bringing her closer.

"Why not?" Mirajane asked. Erza leaned in and in response, Mirajane did too.

"The eggs and toast are going to get cold, dear." Erza said, pulling away from Mirajane and heading towards the door. Mirajane huffed in amusement as she saw Erza's smirk. Erza could be flustered in one moment and then making you flustered in the next.

"Tease." Mirajane pouted. She headed to the bathroom to freshen up. As Mirajane exited the bedroom, she was greeted by the pleasant smell of eggs, bacon and toast. 

"Mmmm.. that smells great. I almost forgot you could cook. You're the type of person who'd look like someone who'd cause a disaster in the kitchen." Mirajane said, taking a seat at the table.

"Huh?! I may not be the best, but I am good! Don't put me down on Natsu's level." Erza snorted, pretending to be offended as she began eating.

"Haha, sorry, sorry. You're a great cook, Erza." Mirajane felt herself giggle as she saw Erza's little pout.

"Hey Mira! How was your sleepover?" Lisanna asked as Mirajane entered the guildhall kitchen.

"It was really fun. Erza got us strawberry cake and noodles last night and she even made me breakfast today morning." Mirajane said. We also started dating, but we've decided to keep quiet about it for now. 

"You had strawberry cake yesterday too? Erza just asked me for a slice. Man, Erza really does have a big sweet tooth." Lisanna giggled. Mirajane nodded in response. Erza had a sweet tooth for as long as Mirajane could remember. So much so that if Mirajane or anyone else put her cake 'in danger' Erza would fight them.

Lisanna cut a slice of the freshly made strawberry cake and carefully placed it on the plate along with a fork and then headed out.

Mirajane suddenly wondered how long she and Erza would be dating. Would they break up? Sooner or later? How long would this go for? Mirajane was technically being a terrible person right now and using Erza. She did have some romantic feelings for Erza, but it was more of a crush than anything. It was the same for Erza. However, Erza was very loyal, so even if she loved Jellal, she wouldn't go after him as long as she was dating Mirajane. Mirajane on the other hand...

It just wasn't the same as it had been with Laxus. When Mirajane had started dating Laxus, she had been.. just so happy. Of course, the situation and reasons were quite different, so Mirajane supposed that was to be expected.

"Hey, Mirajane, Cana is asking for a barrel of beer. Can you get one and give it to her? I need to serve Macao and Wakaba four mugs of beer." Kinana broke Mirajane out of her thoughts.

"Huh? Oh, sure, Kinana." Mirajane smiled. Mirajane shouldn't think about this stuff. She was practically guaranteeing a quick break up with these thoughts. Mirajane didn't want to hurt Erza or herself more. Both were already going through so much. Even if Mirajane was using Erza, she wanted to make the redhead happy. 

"I can't believe Cana drinks so much. What is her liver made out of?" Kinana giggled. Mirajane nodded in response. Cana really was something else. 

Mirajane went over to where the barrels were and picked one up with ease and headed out too. On her way, she saw Erza. When Erza glanced to her, Mirajane couldn't resist winking at her. Erza's face heated up slightly and she looked away, looking flustered and a little annoyed. It was a little surprising how someone like Erza could get so flustered so easily. It was funny and cute though.

"Here, Cana." Mirajane greeted, placing the barrel down in front of the brunette.

"Oh, thanks, Mirajane!" Cana thanked her, picking up the barrel and chugging down the beer like it was nothing. She stopped in between, probably to take a breath and to talk to Mirajane, apparently. "Hah! That hits the spot. So, Mira, how are you?" Cana asked. 

"Oh, me? I'm doing better now. I feel pretty well now, actually." Mirajane said. It was true, somewhat. When Mirajane was alone, she didn't feel so great. Cana nodded and started chugging down the beer again.

"Hey, Mirajane, can I get a beer?" A guy asked from a bit of a distance away.

"Coming!" Mirajane said in response.

"See ya!" Cana said. Mirajane nodded and head into the kitchen again. She was surprised to Erza inside too.

"Hey, Erza, what are you doing in here?" Mirajane asked. It wasn't as if Erza wasn't allowed, but usually only the bartenders were inside.

"W-Well, I just.. wanted some alone time with you." Erza said, clearly trying to sound confident though she was embarrassed.

"Oh, really? I didn't peg you for the clingy type." Mirajane said, walking over to Erza. She wrapped her arms around Erza's neck and leaned against the taller girl.

"Clingy?" Erza asked, looking a little offended and also a little annoyed with herself. "I just wanted to see you. If you don't want me so close so often, I'll back away. We can see each other after we leave the guildhall." Erza said. She wasn't being sarcastic, She genuinely meant it.

"Aww, I didn't mean it like that. I was just teasing." Mirajane cooed at how caring Erza was. Erza's hands were now on Mirajane's waist and she looked into Mirajane's eyes. Mirajane looked back. 

"Do you want a kiss?" Erza asked, her forehead on Mirajane's. Mirajane nodded, perhaps a bit too eagerly. Erza smirked in response.

"Aww, Erza. Please?" Mirajane asked, blinking at Erza. Man, why was Erza such a tease? Erza grinned and leaned in, giving Mirajane a soft kiss. Mirajane kissed back happily, tasting the sweetness of the icing and strawberry cake Erza had just ate.

"Hey, big sis, are you here?" Lisanna called. Mirajane and Erza quickly broke away. Just in time, too. Lisanna entered the kitchen. "Eh? Hi, Erza. Is there anything you wanted?" Lisanna asked.

Erza couldn't help but grin. "Just something sweet." She said, glancing at Mirajane. Mirajane couldn't help but giggle at Erza and Lisanna's obliviousness and confusion.

When Mirajane and Erza had started dating, it had been quite warm and sweet. However, it turned cold and bitter. Mirajane wished she had known that before she went to kiss Erza again after Lisanna had left.
