When you realise that you no longer get scared in dark alleys, or look twice before crossing a daunting hallway, or freak out when you're in a creepy basement in your house or even look under your bed for monsters,
That is when you truly realise you not afraid anymore,
Your not afraid to die.
Because you know for a fact that the dark alleys are like the thoughts in your mind,
And the daunting hallways are the dark gaps between your thoughts of suicide,
And the scary basement is the emptiness in your heart,
And you realise that monsters don't sleep under your bed,
They sleep in your head.

A/N: (You can switch it round too, head and heart I couldn't decide which sounded better lol)
Edit:
"And the scary basement is the emptiness in your head/heart (either)
....
They sleep in your heart."
