I watched in annoyance as he entered the living room. He exchanged handshakes with Weston and finally settled his eyes on me. Great.

"Flower, this is Devin. He will be your bodyguard."

The guy standing opposite of me smiles to look disarming, I'm guessing. It doesn't really matter because he still looks scary even with a big ole smile on his face. His muscles are literally bulging. He has blonde hair and piercing blue eyes that could electrocute someone.

"Hello, Ma'am," he says while sticking his hand out to me. I stare at it for a second knowing that I have two options. One, I can refuse it with a scoff. Or, I can shake it. Weston gives me a look that makes me sigh and shake Devin's MASSIVE hands.

The idea of running off under his watch escapes me. There is no way I can get past him but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try.

But, Poppy, you have stalkers coming after you .... is that really the smartest thing to do?

Probably not.

"Nice to meet you." I manage to say through the angry haze of having to be babysat. I know Weston can feel my anger because I peek over and see his almost smirking

I narrow my eyes.

Ass

"Cash is on the counter. Have fun today," Weston says with a smug smile.

He comes over to me and places his hand on the small part of my back. I suck in a breath and hold it as he places a soft kiss on the top of my head.

"Behave," he whispers and leaves.

It's now me and Mr. Babysitter.

It's awkwardly silent until I sigh and walk to the kitchen. Of course, he follows and takes a seat at the kitchen table.

"I'm sensing you don't like the idea of me guarding you?" he offers.

I snort and place the bowl on the counter.

"Your senses must be pretty good then."

Instead of growling or flipping a table like Weston would do, he laughs. It makes me stop pouring my cereal. Then, as quick as his laugh came, it leaves.

"So do you plan on making my day horrible?" He asks while grabbing an apple out of the dish on the table.

I pause once again and slowly turn around to meet his electric eyes.

"Oh, you have no idea," I smirk.

And that's how he became my bag holder at the mall. Every store we passed I dragged him in to. At first, he handled it well. Three bags aren't too bad. Until an hour later where he had bags up to his biceps. Even though I could sense his frustration, he still kept a smile on his face.

"Ma'am, can we please stop and eat?"

I slowly nod and pretend to gaze at the stores in interest. If we are being completely honest, shopping never really appealed to me. It's not that my parents were poor. I just wasn't very materialistic. This whole trip was to torture Devin. Going shopping with a female is torture for any man, even if they are an over six-foot-tall werewolf.

"How does Panda Express sound?" I ask. I see his eyes light up at the suggestion and steer us through the huge crowds to the food court.

I find a table and set down my purse. I assist him with the bags and laugh as he lets out a sigh of relief as his arms are finally free. He cracks a smile too.
