She's happy that Charlie already tucked in his bed when Luke barged on their door. She doesn't know what will happen if her son came to see what's happening. Not a good sight for a four year old

She took Carl at the nearest hospital for examination. Carl refused at first but she can't sleep at the thought that her brother was hurt in his head. Another part of her brain was screaming for Charlie's safety. The kid was with her house help but she thought of the old woman. Ms. Candy might be weary now.

"J, I'm sorry it's late, but are you still in your office?", she asked her friend on the line while she's outside of the emergency room. She doesn't want Carl to know her other trouble

"I'm on my way to the police station", Jb answered at the other line

"J, would it be alright to you if you go to my house first? We left the station already. I took Carl in the hospital. I want someone to watch over Charlie."

"Ok. Sorry if I'm late, Tin, just …"

"It's okay girl, I understand. Please look for Charlie? Candy might be weary now. She's old"

"No prob, Tin", her friend assured before cutting the line

It's morning already when she parked at her front's house. She left Carl when his father arrived, looking very grim. She thought she wants to stay away from a lot of questions that moment and see Charlie

Jb answered the door and she released the deepest exhale she didn't know she have. She saw her friend's motorcycle earlier but seeing another person  who knew her dealings calmed her

"Why so serious?", her friend asked in a funny way. She frowned. "Dark Knight, just tried to be funny", the girl explained but she can't get that thing.

"How's your brother?", her friend asked again when Jb understand that she can't take any funny matters that moment

"Oh shucks, he got minor cut on his left ears. I'm thankful that it's nothing serious other than that"

Jb tried to smile, "Remind me not to mess with your brother. I mean the Roberts were big guys too". Then Jb looked at her in silence, eye reading

"What's that J?", she asked as she made her way to kitchen. She desperately needs some coffee

Jb's foot echoed on her silent house that means her friend followed her, "Christine, I think you need to go to your father's house. You're not safe here for now"

"You think so?"

"Yes, they know your house now, alright. Luke's definitely will come back and I think your brother will never be here all the time"

"I can't stay there for long, you know I can't stand my mother", she reasoned. Her mother will give her 'I told you so' words of wisdom in various ways she can think of

"Yeah, but it's for Charlie's safety, alright. That's your father's house too. Luke can't do anything there." Jb exhaled, "I'm not here all the time. Although it's okay for me to look after your son, but you know my boss always needs me"

She thought about it while sipping her coffee. Her friend was right. She needs to run to her father's safety as she always do. Her father would know what to do now that Luke's threatening a suit

"Yeah, I'm going to leave now", she agreed

"Alright, I'll help you pack", Jb offered

"Thanks J, I don't know what to do without you and Frida", she said while taking the stairs to their second floor

She heard Jb sighed, "Men and their quantum entanglement tendencies"

"You, of all people, started the fight!", Christopher has been shouting at his son. A few times she heared him doing that. He was silent at the hospital, as Carl said, and even on their way to their house. Just like what their father do all the time. Christine always thought that she and Carl took that calm and collected nature to him.

Carl and his father came later than Christine at their manor. Christopher fetch his son at the hospital as he said he can't trust Carl enough to drive right now

"I saw him grabbing Christine, dad"

"What is he doing in your house?", Margaret questioned her daughter with her arm crossed

"I don't know, he tracked me maybe", she reasoned out

"And how the heck did that happened?", her father asked in all his mighty voice that is so rare

She faced her father with a questioned look

"I thought l did everything to have you under the radar", Christopher sighed as his big hands took on his waist

She fidgeted her hands thinking what would be the best way to start explaining

"He found me at Linton's while looking for someone to design his house"

"See this is why I don't want you working in any place rather than Crown's", her mother uttered. "This is what I'm saying to you Chris, you have to force her to work in your company"

"Mommy", a child's voice came at their living room. Charlie entered wiping his eyes

She bend to lift her son, "Charlie, what is it?"

"Mommy why grandma is angry?" All adults looked at each other at the young one's question

"I'm not sweetheart", Margaret took the child at Tin's hand. "You almost exposed your son to that brawl", she hissed before leaving with Charlie

"Does he know about Charlie?", inquired Christopher as he finally sat in the couch with Carl

A tear sprung her eyes, "Yes dad, I'm sorry. He saw Charlie in my office"

The patriarch shook his head, "We can't do anything about it now"

"I'll take care of Christine and Charlie", Carl offered

"And what? Punched them again when you saw them? Can you watch over them at their office and school? What about your restaurant?", Christopher thunderous voice questioned his only son

"I'm not cooking that much anyways. I'm managing things now", Carl reasoned

Their father run his hands on his hair, "I'm so disappointed with you, Carl. You're not that barbaric. I didn't brought you up like that. Now I need to to do something so that no media will fish this out of the tank"

He looked at his daughter, "You have to talk to Luke. You have no choice but to share a custody. We can't afford this mess. If they file a suit, it will be a media circus. I don't want Charlie at the center of it"

"But"

"No buts Christine", said the oldest Thomas, "Charlie will ask about his father anyways. Might as well you let him be known. Own up to your mistake young lady. You're the one who really wants to hide Charlie in the first place"

He stand as he dialled a number and went outside

She sat at the vacated spot of her father, "You ok now big bro?"

Carl nodded, "Frida's feisty huh"

"I told you she's a fine piece of lady. You two are gonna be awesome", Tin said smiling

"Nope, not gonna happen. I want some peace of mind", Carl shutting his eyes

"Frida's okay Carl. It's just that, she's a happy go lucky woman"

"I want a simple life, not as complicated as yours"

She frowned at him, "You're not a womanizer right?"

"Of course not! I also wants to find that girl"

"What girl?", she persistently asked

"That girl that have exact thing that I need", Carl said on his shut eye.

"That girl would never come if you still continue your celibacy", she chuckled

Carl sighed, "For now, let's face your trouble Christine"

"Thanks Carl. I love you very much", she said hugging her brother
