Taehyung's POV

15:00

'Just where is that idiot? I've been waiting for an hour and yet he still hasn't arrived.' I pouted and glanced at my phone every so often.

I tried calling him but to no avail, none of my calls were picked up. I was only directed to his voice mail.

Oh no, what if something happened to him? What if he got into an accident on his way here? What if he got stabbed by some random stranger. What if he got kidnapped and have his organs sold?

"Waiter!"

I paid for my coffee and drove to his house. Normally if he were to be late, he would inform to me thirty minutes before the set time.

'Did he just fall asleep from studying too much?'

In no time, I stood right before his house and rang the door bell.

The door opened and revealed a pretty lady probably in her late 30s.

"Oh? What brings a handsome young man here in the middle of daylight?"

"Good afternoon and sorry for the intrusion, ma'am." I greeted and slightly bowed, "I'm Jungkook's friend and I was wondering if he's at home because we were supposed to meet up an hour ago but he didn't show up and he's not picking up any of my calls."

"I can totally relate, that's the worst thing that could happen to a date. Being late is a definite no-no. I can't believe my son is like that." she shook her in dissatisfaction.

"A-actually, Jungkook's usually the early bird so I was just wondering if he slept in and... we're not on a date. It's just a friendly hangout." I pursed my lips and I could feel my face slightly heating up just by imagining me and Jungkook on an actual date.

"Sureeeee. Anyways, come on right in. Jungkook is in his room right now and god knows what he's doing in there." she motioned me to enter and I did.

This is the third time I've been to his house in our two years of friendship because he's always the one coming to mine so I didn't really get the chance to visit often. Plus, it's always just us two whenever I come by whereas his siblings and parents are out working so I've never really seen the faces of his parents.

"You must be Taehyung, correct?" she asked as we sat down on the couch.

"I'm sorry but how do you know my name?"

"A mother of a son knows everything, my child." she smiled proudly, "all Jungkook ever talk is about sports, grades and most importantly ... you. Knowing him, he wouldn't spend his time out on every weekend to meet his friends. So, I'd rather say you're a special case."

'She sure talks a lot.' I thought, 'but it's okay, me too.'

"Whoops, I got carried away. You must be feeling very awkward right now. Well then, you should go and search for him. He should be in his room if I'm not wrong. Want some cake while you're at it?" she asked.

"It's okay, ma'am. You're too generous and I feel like I shouldn't stay here any longer. I must be disturbing you."

"Oh, you're not at all. I'd love myself some company. Enough talking here, you should go by now." She giggled and turned on the television.

With that, I headed up to his room and knocked onto the door thrice but there was no reply.

"Jungkook?" I called but nothing came back.
