"Deal! I'll pick you up at 8!" Dave took off down the hallway after abruptly slamming his locker.
John laughed and shut his locker then he noticed him. His heart skipped a beat before he spoke "Hey Karkitty"!The short troll grumbled something before walking over to him. "What do you need John?" Karkat snapped. "you should totally come with Dave and I to this party tonight." John ignored karkats attitude. "Strider didn't tell you? I'm going. He promised to buy me a bunch of rom coms". John thought he saw the shorty smile when he mentioned romance comedies. "Dave is gonna go broke after this" John laughed. Karkats nodded. Maybe the party won't be too bad after all.
