Harry: The media attention Harry got was insane after he left his wife for you. You became victim to public scrutiny, unable to ignore the comments that referred to you as a slut, whore, and home wrecker. Harry became adamant on clearing your name though, on convincing everyone that you were none of these things. You scrolled down the latest column on the scandal, a quote from Harry standing out to you where he took control of the situation, defending your relationship. I was with (Harry’s ex-wife) for five years and honestly, when we got married we weren’t ready. Sometimes things change after you’re with someone for years and that’s ultimately what happened. When I met (Y/N), it was like something clicked in me and there I was, falling in love. Except this time it was different and I knew she was the love of my life. I see everyone fantasizing about true love and wanting their own happily ever after. I found mine and I just want everyone to be happy for me and for us.You couldn’t help but smile as you read with the hope that this was one step in ending the scandal that had begun as your relationship with Harry.

Louis: “Are you sure?” You asked Louis again, his decision to leave to be with you seeming completely impulsive and out of the blue. He’d been just about to walk down the aisle when you showed up, professing your love just to him, an ultimatum that had brought him back into your life, where he’d made the decision to be with you instead of the woman he’d been trying to use to get over you. He looked over, one of his hands gripping the steering wheel and the other your hand. “I am. What do I have to do to prove it to you?” He asked, able to sense the panic in your tone as he pulled over the car. You stepped out, shaking your head. “I can’t do this. What did we just do? This is so wrong and I’m probably going to hell because we just ruined her life. We can fix this right? Just go back, apologize and marry her. Yeah, that’ll make it right.” You talked more to yourself than to him. “(Y/N), marry me.” He stated, only causing your heart rate to quicken, your fingers running through your hair as you shook your head. “That’ll only make things worse. We can’t.” You paced back and forth until his hands were on your shoulders, keeping you in place while he spoke. “Marry me because I love you and you love me. I know I was just about to marry her but that’s over now. We’ll deal with that later. We can fly to Vegas and do that whole dumb Elvis thing if you want. We can even get married in that McDonald’s drive-thru if you want. Just marry me. I’ve always wanted to spend my life with you.” He seemed so serious and you wondered if it was only temporary, if adrenaline was fueling him from having walked out on his fiance. “What will everyone think?” Your head dropped but Louis lifted it, just as he’d always been lifting you up. “It doesn’t matter. Right now, let’s just do what we want. No rules, no boundaries, and no one to tell us we can’t.”

Niall: You’d had no intention of bringing drama into his life. A simple friendship had sparked something inside both you and Niall that you were unable to fight or hide. Your late night talks and his constant ability to make you laugh had you falling for him faster than you ever had before. Keeping your feelings to yourself as he had finally settled down, thinking that he’d found the girl for him, had proved to be a hardship. One night as you both said goodbye after one of your usual movie nights that had resulted in another round of story-telling, you both leaned in a little too quick, turning your heads a little too soon as your lips met for the first time. What should have been a simple accidental peck quickly turned into your mouths moving together in sync, much longer than a kiss shared between two friends. “We can’t.” You shook your head, guilt washing over you immediately as you pulled away, Niall stepping back inside your apartment. “Maybe we can.” He thought aloud, running a hand through his hair, in both complete bliss and confusion after having kissed the girl he’d been slowly falling for all along. “And maybe you’re an idiot.” You laughed, but he kissed you again, your heart racing when he pulled away, a claim that would lead to him leaving the girl he loved for the girl he’d fallen in love with. “And maybe I love you.”

Liam: You’d spent your entire life wondering what could have been, wondering if time and distance, if fame and mistrust hadn’t gotten in the way, would you and Liam still be together. You’d watched him, as his celebrity grew steadily with the years. You’d even shed a tear when One Direction stopped making music, mostly coming from the truth of Liam’s words. “I think now it’s time for all of us to settle down, to marry and start families, to focus on being a little more domesticated. We’re still friends and I’ll always consider these guys my brothers, just to settle all those rumors out there. It’s just time to bring things to a close with 1D. Maybe even in some years we’ll do a reunion concert or something. You never know!” You wondered who he’d end up with and how many children he’d have or if you’d even crossed his mind when he spoke of a wife for himself. Fifty-three years later and you’d been through a marriage and divorce, Liam having been married and now a widower. You hadn’t seen each other for so many years but you would never forget those crinkled eyes or the sound of his laughter as he spoke with a young lady in the grocery store, still talking about his past in the music industry, remembering how in love he’d been with music. “I see you’re still trying to get these kids to listen to your old coop music.” You giggled, the sound ringing through the air, so familiar to Liam’s ears as he saw you for the first time again, this time with nothing to standing in your way, with nothing to keep you both from leaving your past lovers behind so that you could rekindle the first and strongest love you’d ever known.

Zayn: You’d been meeting with Zayn for a while, having secret lunches, late night calls, and constant communication. It was with each click of your line and hug goodbye that you were left with another pound of guilt weighing on you. Zayn seemed happy when he called you, nearly making you back out as you knew his emotions would soon be changed as you spoke. “Zayn, just let me say what I have to say before you respond. I really really like you. Well it’s more than that actually. I love you a lot but I can’t do this anymore. It’s not that I don’t want to be with you but I need to do what is right. I won’t continue this while you’re still with your wife.” You spoke, his mood changing dramatically as he processed what you were saying. It was over. With what you thought would be a final goodbye you hung up, only leaving Zayn to weigh his options, to realize who he truly loved, showing up on your doorstep within the same night, ready to begin a new life with the woman he really loved.
