Harry: You’d been with Harry and his son since day one, staying by his side through the loss of his sons’ mother and through everything they’d been facing since. His first words, as you and Harry sat across him, cooing at him while he ate cereal off a tray, his mouth opening to reach out for you. “M-mum.” He stuttered, you eyes looking to Harry, worried of his reaction but relieved to see him smiling at his boy’s first word.

Louis: What do I call her?” Louis’ daughter asked. “Whatever you like as long as you’re respectful.” Louis smiled at her, looking to the door of the restaurant as you walked in. Initially she called you by your first name, not really liking or caring that you were involved with her dad until you found a connection with her Louis could never have, knowing what it’s like to be a teenage girl. For the first time, after three months of knowing her, she called you mum.

Niall: Niall had been trying to get his baby boy to stop calling you mum for weeks. He didn’t think of it as a bad thing but thought that it would be better if he stuck to calling his biological mother by that name. On his birthday you all gathered for a small party, a family picture solving the problem as his son pointed out each person in the photo. First he looked to Niall, “Daddy”, then to his mom, “Mommy”, and finally to you, “Mum”, to which you all agreed was fine, having two mother figures in his life only a bonus for him and your family.

Liam: His mom had never been a part of his life, leaving Liam to raise him alone. He would never be alone as long as he had you and neither would his son. You’d been a part of his life since he could remember and so the first time he called you mum you looked to Liam, all he was able to say, “Well you’ve always been his mum.”

Zayn: On his daughter’s first day of school Zayn was unable to be there, on the road again. Tears ran down her cheeks as soon as she realized you’d have to leave. “First daddy left and now you’re leaving mum.” She pouted, reaching out for you. You squatted to her level, wiping her tears with your thumbs. “I’ll be back as soon as school lets out and daddy will be back soon.” You left before she could become upset any further, you and Zayn, who she knew as mum and dad both surprising her when you picked her up from school that day.
