Prologue

Relationships are like a roller coaster.

Love is like a roller coaster.

You hop on, oblivious to what's to come. You have an idea, but it's different for everyone.

The experience. The emotions.

It's different.

Some love it, some hate it.

But the best part?

It's anticipating what's to come. Feeling like you finally made it. Like you finally have the chance to experience what everyone else around you already has.

Like your parents, and friends. It's enticing.

Yet, all pros have their cons.

The worst part?

The anxiety, and ache. The feeling of not wanting to fall off after reaching cloud 9. The feeling of wanting to get off. For it to be over.

We all have felt that.

But, it's also beautiful. Realizing, everyone in the moving carts in front & behind you are experiencing the same thing. You look around, taking in the view. It's beautiful.

Love is beautiful.

It's a ride to remember.

It's addictive, wanting to feel the adrenaline over and over. Like a drug.

But, once you reach the top. Everything stops. Like a pause button.

You know what's coming next, it's too late to back out. The feeling of your stomach knotting because everything is going downhill.

Literally.

But, you let yourself fall anyways.

Why?

Because you feel something.

Some type of validation that you're wanted, Liked, loved even.

You feel like you can't get out of the mess you put yourself into. And that's okay. Love is meant to cause pain and joy. The perfect harmony.

It's only hard when you realize, as you fall that, you won't be caught.

You won't feel safe anymore. Like you're bound to fly out. It's terrifying. You tell yourself, it'll be okay. And for the most part, it will be.

The ride will stop. But

Will you get on again?

You clearly didn't want to ride the roller coaster again.
