Days passed and saturday came. Suho and Irene barely talked and not once met in person. Suho was worried thinking their relationship was at risk meanwhile Irene was putting her heart and mind into her boyfriend's surprise.

Waking up on his birthday, Suho expected to atleast get a birthday text from her but unfortunately, nothing.

He received thousands, maybe millions of birthday wishes from everyone and he appreciated every single on one them but not a single text from his own girlfriend.

He had a schedule to do on his birthday, making his day even more depressing as it already was.

As soon as he stepped into the car to go to the venue, the members all wished him a happy birthday. They all gave him hugs and wishes and some of them got him gifts and he was finally able to smile.

Throughout the whole day, the only thing he did was stare blankly at his phone, waiting for a text he never received.

Baekhyun, who was right beside Suho, kept updating Irene about what was happening. Irene couldn't help but feel bad about ignoring him on his birthday, but this was only to make the surprise later on more meaningful.

"Hyung, are you okay?" The maknae asked, genuinely concerned about his hyung who wasn't talking as much as he usually does. "It's your birthday, lighten up!" Jongin added, trying to make him feel better but it didn't work.

"What's wrong?" Jongdae asked, putting his arms on Suho's shoulders. Suho tried his best not to break down. After all, he was the leader, he needed to be the strong one. "Nothing, I'm really fine." Suho smiled ever so fake-ly.

Kyungsoo and Baekhyung exchanged glances, starting to feel bad about lying to Suho since he looked very depressed.

"Are you sure?" Xiumin asked once more and Suho nodded, looking away from his members to hide the sad expression he couldn't help but show.

The schedule went by fine, Suho managed to sing and dance as perfect as ever along with the other members.

On the way back to the dorm, it was already 10 PM at night. Still, not one text from Irene. Suho sighed, plugged in his earphone and closed his eyes to sleep.

While he was asleep, Kyungsoo and Baekhyun told the members, who were very worried about Suho, about the surprise which relieved them. By this time, all of the exo members were in on it.

At 11.15 PM, they reached their dorm. Suho held the key so he unlocked the door and stepped in. Nothing. He expected Irene to be there, ready to hug him and finally wish him a happy birthday but his expectations vanished when he saw nothing on the hallway.

He couldn't help it any longer, he ditched the members and quickly ran up to his room, tears threatening to pour out. He ignored all the calls from his members.

Again, It was his first birthday with someone he truly loved, he has been waiting for this day all his life but why is it turning out this way.

Without any hesitance, he barged into his room only to see darkness. He sighed, then turned the lights on. At that exact moment, he saw a figure who he has been longing to see the whole day, standing in front of him holding a personalized birthday cake with his name written on it.

"Happy Birthday." She said and simple the sound of her voice made him break down.
