I've been sleep-deprived since I don't know when. Jaece warned me a lot about my health, but it's okay. I have lots of things to get lost in during late hours.
Maybe the stars.
Maybe the moon.
It's nice to get lost in them. They've been keeping each other company since everything began. . . maybe I could be an addition to the clique.
The counselor of DLSU already talked to me about this. Sabi niya, kahit daw mataas ang grades ko, 'wag ko daw abusuhin ang sarili ko. And all I said was I ain't doing it for those numbers. I just want to. . . be alone. I hate people. Maybe except Jaece. That kid never gave up on me no matter how stubborn I am.
In addition to this, I can't see color. Everybody asked me why but the funny thing is, I don't know either. I just can't. But I do know that I represent the green and white. A combination of yellow and blue.
And. . . I also know what Jaemin's colors are. He has light brown hair. His lips are pinkish. His jersey is green and white. His skin is light apricot. His eyes are dark brown. And when he walks, everything around him is yellow. He's the first one to show me color, and it terrifies me. Why? Why can he do something that nobody else can? Why am I afraid?
"Telley!"
I immediately turned around after hearing that voice and the moment I turned around, everything's vibrant. Ah, I saw him again. Na Jaemin.
"Telley, busy sa dept. niyo ah? Anong meron? 'Di ako informed. Fake Lasallian na ba ako?" tanong niya at tumawa nang bahagya. I observed his laugh for a while. Another color. . . white. His teeth. They're color white, and they shine whenever he smiles. They look. . . beautiful.
I'm afraid.
"Just some requirements needed to be done. . . the deadline was adjusted, so almost everyone's cramming."
"Ikaw 'din?"
"Nah."
He expected that answer, of course. I have all the time in the world to do those stuff. I finished my requirements earlier than everybody else so I could just read when I'm at school. My copies of 'Ari & Dante' are probably tired of my face.
"D'you want to watch our practice na lang? Baka ma-bore ka masyado dito. Wala kang ginagawa, wala si Jaece, wala 'rin si Eileen. Pakilala kita sa archers!" aya niya at ngumiti pa ng mas malawak. Agad naman akong umiling bilang pagtanggi dito. Don't use that against me ever again, please. That's cheating. No one can refuse that.
Me being attached to the archers means there's a bunch of strings linked to me that'll lead to Jaemin again. Please, I want to avoid him at all cost.
But how can I avoid such beauty?
