A few days later, it was the day of the last rehearsals for the theme song and we all rehearsed on the actual stage but with our training clothes to make sure it all was perfect.

"Han-ge," I called Li Wenhan. "Can you move a little more to the side during this part? It's just so people can see a bit more of the person behind you."

"Yes, sure," he told me.

We hadn't noticed PD was watching us from below the stage until he spoke up, which startled me a little and made me cling onto Wenhan's arm as he was the one closest to me at that moment.

"Seems like you guys have improved! Everyone's excellent," PD praised us. "Looking at you guys collectively, it's quite uniform. Overall, the appearance is quite pretty as well.

"As of now, it has been quite some time. Let me look at how each class is performing. First, we'll have class B."

We then all moved aside to let class B perform comfortably and watched them. They were pretty uniform and it looked really good from below, so I was sure PD would praise them. I was especially excited when I saw Wang Jiayi as he performed extremely well.

"Indeed there's a huge difference. From your gazes, I can see you guys really want to be on this stage. When performing I can feel that you guys are quite happy," PD praised them. "If I were to look at this class... Can I let them move up a class?"

We were all shocked when he said that but even more shocked when the director team agreed. This was unprecedented, but I was really happy for every boy who got a promotion.

"I want to move up a few people. This trainee moving up to class A, I've seen his potential and how much he wishes to move up. Congratulations to Jiang Shengmin," PD said. "The next person I am moving up can work even harder. Congratulations, Xu Fangzhou. You are someone who can dance really well. Your physical frame is very wide now, a wide frame is a good thing. In addition, you are tall. What you are lacking now is control. How do you exert control? It's accumulated through time. I hope you can work even harder. You can do it for sure. "

Two people had already been promoted and PD didn't seem to stop there, so I was even more excited to see who the other or others were.

"Wang Jiayi, I'll recommend you," PD announced making me gasp. "You went from not knowing how to dance to having such dancing skills now. Really, good job."

"He made it to A!" I exclaimed as I held onto Jia Yi's arm. "He made it!"

"You are an amazing teacher, Yingyue," he told me ruffling my hair.

One by one the rest of the ranks also performed in front of PD. Wu Fei, Ke Qingming and Xu Longhan moved from F to D; Wen Yenchen from F to B;  Zhou Yuan and Li You from D to C; and Su Yuhang from D to B.

It then finally was my class' time to perform and PD just praised us for our hard work before he continued.

"Five days ago, we gave everyone, all the trainees, time to digest this choreography; to practice this choreography again. Some people went up the ranks and some stayed where they were. What does this mean?" PD said. "It means that hard work can really be shown on stage."

After that, we were given a few minutes off as the boys who were promoted needed to change their sweatshirts. Just before doing that, though, Wang Jiayi approached me and wrapped me in a bone-crushing hug.

"You made it!" I exclaimed as I returned the hug. "I told you you need to be more confident!"

"Thank you, Yingyue. Thank you for helping me," he told me.

"What are you thanking me for?" I told him. "Go to change your sweatshirt now before it is time to go back to work."

After he left, I saw that the rest of the boys were chatting with each other. I didn't want to interrupt any conversation, so I just stayed on the side and drank some water while waiting.

"I wanted to praise you twice, Yingyue," said PD approaching me and I bowed. "When I came in I saw you helping Li Wenhan with his position on stage and I've now heard that you have been helping Wang Jiayi. Your sense of teamwork is admirable."

"It was nothing, PD," I told him.

"She has been staying up late since the beginning just to help some of us," said Jia Yi from behind me as he appeared seemingly out of nowhere. "She also helped, for example, Hanyu."

"Oh, really?" PD asked me impressed.

"He's over exaggerating. I just helped him with some steps," I said as I sent Jia Yi a murderous look.

"I'm very amazed right now," PD told me. "You are constantly proving me wrong."

"Proving you wrong?" I asked him confused. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Don't mind me," he told me. "I'll go now. I have to talk to the staff about something."

After PD left, I immediately turned around to face Jia Yi and sent him a death glare.

"Did you really have to?" I told him.

"Did I lie?" He told me and ruffled my hair. "It's not like I said a bad thing! I thought you would like people to see you are a good person!"

"But... urgh! I can't stay mad at you for some reason," I said standing up and leaving towards the stage as I saw some of the others doing the same. "What is wrong with me?"

"Did you really think you could run away from me so easily?" He said wrapping one of his arms around my shoulders. "The boys don't call us the Siamese Twins for nothing!"
