i scribble all over the green wall, agitated. luther walks in, and knocks on the door. i turn to him, but quickly turn back and focus on my calculations. "what are you doing, five?" luther says. "im trying to find out who causes the apocalypse." i say, not turning back to face him. "why?" he says, stupidly. i make an annoyed sound and quickly try to explain it to him and his small brain. "to stop the apocalypse, ive got to eliminate the person, or in this case, people who are most likely to end the world." he nods, and turns to the names written down. "whos this? harold green? is he some terrorist or something?" he says pointing to one of the names written down.

"hes a gardener down the street." luther looks up at me in surprise. "hes just an innocent person, five!" he yells at me. "it doesnt matter!" i snap, breaking the chalk between my knuckles. "it doesnt matter." i say. i jump off the bed, and grab dads rifle from behind the dresser.

"whats that?" luther says, as i unzip the bag. i pull it out, and begun adjusting it to my liking. "what are you doing?" he says, frantically. "its dads rifle. he used for shooting an elephant or something." i say not looking up, trying to satisfy his questions. "how do you know how to use that?" he says, trying to distract me. "its the model i used to use at work, alright? now get the hell off my back, luther." i say, getting agitated at his questions.

he rubs his head, and looks up back at me. "are you seriously going to shoot someone five?" he says. "their innocent!" luther says, yelling now. "well in the case, their not!" i yell back, slamming my hand against the table. "one life, for billions, luther." i say, looking at him in the eyes. "allison." i say, trying to strike a cord in his heart. "how- how do you know about that?" he whispers to me, like someones watching. i roll my eyes, "its obvious luther. the tent?" he widens his eyes in shock. "hu- how?" he says louder. "i just do luther." i say, trying to end the conversation. about to leave, i start to say my goodbyes to luther, but am cut off.

"charlene."

i drop the gun. "dont use her name against me luther!" i yell, anger bubbling up in my throat. he doesnt answer. "you like her dont you?" he says, grinning at me. i push away the truth, "i- dont!" i hesitate, before yelling at him. he shakes his head. "just tell me five." he says, trying to persuade me into telling him the truth. i try to avoid his eyes, feeling like their burning into my flushed skin. i sat back down on the bed. "i- just, its complicated." i respond, breathing heavily. i look down, humiliated. "im not supposed to be feeling this!" i yell, agitated but confused. i hold my head in my hands, before looking up at him.

"did i fall too hard? "
