Chapter 12 pt. 2

It's been almost a month since Kihyun live in Yeosu. His father called him last week to check on him. There wasn't much incident that happened after the event in Daegu. Kihyun got closer with his friends as time passes by.

It's another Monday in Yeosu, birds' chirping woke Kihyun up from his nap after class. There is a nice smell coming from the kitchen, Kihyun identified the smell as spicy teokbokki. Weird , he thought. His nan never cooked spicy food because Kihyun never liked spicy food when he was a kid.

"Nan?" Kihyun walks out of his room in casual wear, not forgetting his glasses.
"You cooked teokbokki?"

"Hi Kihyun!" Voices of boys and girls shouted his name with a hint of excitement.

There in the living room, just in front of the kitchen, stands a few boys, who Kihyun recognised as the children who accidentally pushed him on his first day in Yeosu, and a few girls he's seen before in town.

What?

"Kihyunah! Jiyeon brought the kids here to have tea! Look how cute they all are." Kihyun's nan walked out of the kitchen holding a pot of hot teokbokki, with Jiyeon following behind her.

"H-hi" Jiyeon waved to Kihyun with a shy smile. Why? Kihyun wasn't wearing any pants, just boxers.

Kihyun dashed back to his room and changed into something more appropriate. Something Kihyun didn't understand was why he kinda fixed his hair nicer and shaved for the second time that day.

When Kihyun came out again, the kids were eating teokbokki with happiness spreading across their faces. Jiyeon and his nan are looking through something.

Kihyun got closer to see what they were looking at. Lying there in his nan's lap, were Kihyun's childhood photos, *cough* naked childhood photos.

"Nan!" Kihyun snatched the album from them and dashed to his room for the second time. He'd be fine if they were naked baby photos, but he was sure the photos were taken when he was about 8 or 9, there wasn't any censors on his dick! Kihyun can feel his sweats of embarrassment rolling down his side cheeks.

There was a soft knock on his door not long after. "Come in." Kihyun put the album on his desk and sat on his bed.

"H-hi, sorry if it was too much to handle suddenly. Your nan has been asking me to bring the kids over. She's really a nice grandmother." Jiyeon stands by the door, still having a tinge of pink on her cheeks, it's too much for her to handle too.

"Ye-yea, sorry for the embarrassing photos, you know old people."

There's a few second of awkward silence before both of them started in the same time.

"I-"

"You first." As usual, gentleman Kihyun.

"I was thinking if you'd like to have a look around town? You've been here for a month but you don't seem to know this place well besides the route to college and the train station."

Is she trying to get me on a date?
No way, she's just giving me a tour around town.

"Sure! Let's go now, I have nothing to do anyways."

The both of them sent the kids back home and had a walk around town that evening. They talked about their childhood and other stuff throughout the walk. Kihyun can't actually deny that Jiyeon is cute, she's always quiet when the others are with them but that night, she talked a lot more and had funny reactions when Kihyun talked about something lame.

"Hope you enjoyed the tour, thanks for sharing your funny stories too!"
They were at Jiyeon's doorstep since Kihyun insisted to send her back home first at this late night.

"Thank you for the tour, and for reacting nicely to my jokes heh."

To be honest, Kihyun felt like he was on a date more than a tour. He's read articles about first dates, he swears he's felt all the feelings throughout the tour.

Like how his heart tinggled when Jiyeon laughs at his lame jokes. Or when he felt butterflies in his stomach when she tied her hair in a ponytail in the middle of the tour.

For the first time in his life, he asked himself,

Is this love he's experiencing?
