Historia wasn't allowed to enter the court room until everyone, including Ymir had already gone inside. Her whole body was trembling as she opened the door and she had to use all her strength to get herself to her designated seat.

There she was. Ymir. All Historia could see was her dark, scruffy hair at the back of her head but at that moment, she longed to run towards her, hug her tight and cry and wail until her voice had burnt out and her lungs were no longer able to breath.
However, Historia knew that she wasn't allowed to speak or move from her seat unless she was given permission.

General Zackly cleared his throat and began, "Ymir, Graduate of the 104th training Corps and former Survey Corps member, correct?".
"Yes, I think so", a familiar voice replied.
It really was her.
"What do you mean you think so?", Zackly asked, sternly.
"My memories from when I possessed the Jaw Titan are kind of hazy", she told him with a sigh.
"I see", Zackly replied, "then why did you return to Paradis?".
Ymir was silent for a moment.
"I think I left something here", she finally said.

Historia could feel a clog in her throat. Did Ymir not remember anything?
"And you say you no longer possess the Jaw Titan, correct", Zackly continued, "how did you loose it?".
"I think they took my spinal fluid. There was this guy called Porco Galliard and he has it now. That's all I know", she explained.
"I see", Zackly said, "Commander Nile Dok of the Military Police, what is your opinion on this matter?".

"Well, despite the fact that we have successfully used the titan shifters Eren Yeager and Armin Arlet, I sincerely believe that Ymir cannot be trusted as we know that her origins are in Marley and that she has cooperated with the enemy in the past. Even though she claims to have lost her powers, we have no evidence so it's unsafe to allow her to roam freely around Paradis", Commander Dok stated.

Historia's heart sank when she realised how convincing his argument was. What evidence was there to support Ymir?
"Commander Zoe Hange, what do you say?", Zackly questioned.
"The Scouting Regiment request that we are given responsibility of this girl as she formerly belonged to our legion. We will keep her under secure conditions and conduct experiments to decide on whether or not she is still a titan shifter", Commander Hange told him.
"We understand that the Scouting Regiment has been successful in taking responsibility for other titan shifters but we must remember that this one could be a spy for Marley so the safest thing to do would be to imprison her until we know how to replicate the titan serum", Commander Dok said.

"Yes, very true. We need to uncover what her true motives may be.", Zackly replied, "that is why we have some other graduates of the 104th training corps who knew her in person present".
'Oh', Historia though, noticing that Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Sasha and Connie were all present. She had been so focused on Ymir that she hadn't noticed them.

"Armin Arlet, member of the Survey Corps and current inheritor of the Collosal Titan, your intelligence has come in useful in the past so as a graduate of the 104th training corps, what do you say on this matter?", Zackly asked.
"From what I know, I suspect that Ymir is telling the truth since she didn't seem to have any goal or motive before she left other than to protect her Royal Highness Historia Reiss, or Krista Lenz, as she was formerly known", Armin replied, as loudly as he could, "I find it hard to believe that Ymir would work as a spy for Marley. Also, the fact that she has not yet made any mention of her Highness proves that she must have had some kind of memory damage".
"Eren Yeager, do you have anything to add?", Zackly asked.
"Yes sir! I believe that Ymir should be allowed to see Queen Historia! You cannot deny the Queen's freedom to see Ymir! We have no evidence at all that Ymir did anything wrong so we can't imprison her-", Eren shouted, his voice full of the usual anger.
"That's enough", Zackly interrupted, "Ymir, do you remember Historia Reiss?".

"Her name sounds familiar, I'm not sure....she sounds hot though", Ymir replied in her usual tone.
Historia had to cover her mouth in order to stop herself from laughing and crying at the same time. Her eyes had turned red enough for her guards to become worried about her.
"I see", Zackly replied to Ymir, "so why exactly did you turn against Paradis and leave for Marley?".

At that moment, Historia could take it no longer. Tears started flowing down her cheeks and she broke down into a sob. She felt a surge of embarrassment; she thought she had become a strong queen and not someone who would cry in court. Despite all her efforts, she couldn't stop the tears flowing from her eyes. Zackly nodded to her guards and they gently lead her outside and away from Ymir.

She had been through so many hardships without shedding a tear, so why was she crying now? Maybe all those emotions that she had kept in for those four years were leaking out now. No matter what she did, she couldn't wipe her face dry as the tears she wiped away were immediately replaced. She ran back to her quarters and slammed the door behind her.
