The Darker Side

Part 6: Encounter

Eir: *Muffled* Luna! Luna!!

Luna opened her eyes slowly, holding her head.

"uuugghhh... what happened..?" she asked

"You accidentally let out your darker side; your fierce warrior spirit took over to protect you from harm.  Although..." 

Eir looked around the room seeing the destruction Luna had just caused.

  "It's attitude is a bit over the top..."

Luna followed Eir's gaze around the room and realized what she had done. Then she quickly turned to Juliet 

"Julie are you ok??!"

Julie responded sluggishly "Y-yeah... I think s..." she was cut off by the sound of her hitting the floor...

Luna looked at at Julie on the floor and sighed 

     " wake up Juliet"

There was no response...

"OMG seriously you need to stop this"

Luna slapped Julie with all her might "WAKE UP DAMN IT!"

Juliet slowly woke  up and felt the heat on her cheek from the slap.

"Owwwwww!!!"

"Sorry.. you wouldn't wake up"

Luna chuckled sheepishly.  

Julie glared at her. 

"That hurt you idiot!"

"Oh come on I didn't hit you that hard!" Said Luna 

The girls got into a loud argument. Meanwhile Eir just sat in a corner laughing to herself .

"Haha... Humans. So amusing"

Julie shouted,

"You know what!? I'm done! Forget this I'm out!"

Luna yelled back,

"FINE! LEAVE THEN!"

"I WILL!"

Julie quickly made her way to the door, opened it and turned back to say,

"And you'd not have to worry! I won't tell anyone! But only because no one would believe me anyway! It's totally not to keep you safe!"

As Juliet slowly turned back to walk out the door, she felt cold metal against her skin. She  looked out the door, and in front of her stood a Valkyrie. One of Odin's Female warriors. The Valkyrie had her sword pressed against Julie's neck.

"ᚹᚺᛖᚱᛖ ᛁᛋ ᛋᚺᛖ!?"

Said the Valkyrie.

"I don't know what you're saying! Please don't kill me!"     Whimpered Juliet.

"ᚹᚺᚨᛏ ᚺᚨᚡᛖ ᚤᛟᚢ ᛞᛟᚾᛖ ᛏᛟ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚲᚺᛁᛚᛞ!?"

The Valkyrie was visibly upset and looked as if she was about to end Juliet right where she stood. As she began gritting her teeth, Eir teleported onto Julie's shoulder and spoke to the Valkyrie .

"Stop! In the name of Odin!"

The Valkyrie stopped immediately. Almost as if she had frozen in place.

"You speak the name of the All-father. Who are you, creature?"

"I am Eir, the appointed guardian of the child. She is safe, but still in training. You need not worry about her"

"Ah I see. Apologies for the rude intrusion."

"Do not trouble yourself Kára,  It's just in your nature. You are after all kára the stormy one."

The two beings laughed as if they had known each other for years. Meanwhile,  Juliet had slipped away from the sword and was now hiding behind Luna.

She whispered,

"Luna. What's happening??"

"I'm not sure Julie.."
