Part 7: Wait what!?

Eir invited Kara inside and they started chatting it up.

"Soooo Kara, How goes the whole Valhalla thing?"

"Eir... stop the games. You know as well as i do, that no one goes to Valhalla anymore..." 

Both Ladies stopped to look at Luna for a moment.

"ᛋᛁᛋᛏᛖᚱ... ᛞᛟᛖᛋ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚲᚺᛁᛚᛞ ᚾᛟᛏ ᚴᚾᛟᚹ ᛟᚠ ᚺᛖᚱ ᚾᚨᛏᚢᚱᛖ?

ᛞᛟᛖᛋ ᛋᚺᛖ ᚾᛟᛏ ᚴᚾᛟᚹ ᚹᚺᚨᛏ ᚺᛖᚱ ᚠᚢᛏᚢᚱᛖ ᚺᛟᛚᛞᛋ?" said Kara

"Speaking in the old language now are we?"

Eir shook her head in disappointment.

"No she doesn't know. She's nothing but a child Kara. You cant expect her to immediately know everything there is to know about herself and her future. Give her time... She'll discover her purpose soon enough."

As Eir and the Valkyrie continued talking, Luna and Julie both sat in a corner, whispering to themselves. Or.. well. They would be if Luna wasn't so intensely staring at Kara.  

"... AND WHATS WITH THIS RANDOM LADY? SHE ALMOST KILLED ME YOU KNOW!? SHE HAD HER SWORD ON MY THROAT! I COULDVE DIED! ahifb" 

Julie's ranting was cut off as luna covered her mouth with her hand.

"Shhh..."

Luna turned her eyes back to Kara. Specifically the words she was saying.

"she's not speaking our tongue... listen Julie.. what is that..?"

Kara's voice was quiet due to the distance between them.

"ᚲᚨᚾ ᛋᚺᛖ ᚨᛏ ᛚᛖᚨᛋᛏ ᛋᛈᛖᚨᚴ ᛏᚺᛖ ᛟᛚᛞ ᛏᛟᚾᚷᚢᛖ ᛖᛁᚱ?"

Julie said something but was once more, muffled by Luna's hand.

"uh cmmmft herfff hurr"  (I cant hear her)

Luna's eyes flashed purple for a second as she focused in even more.

Suddenly, Luna vanished from in front of Julie, appearing in the shadow behind the couch. She stood up abruptly, startling Kara.

"Hey!"

Kara jumped in her seat and fell backwards off the couch.

Eir laughed

"Good to see youre getting the hang of your abilities luna"

"By Odin's beard child, you should know better than to sneak up on two Valkyries!"

Luna's eyes shot wide open.

"Eir!"

"Yes child?"

"Youre a Valkyrie!?"

"Why of course. Did you not notice my stylish wings?"

She flicked her feathers all sassy-like, showing them off.

"I ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST A SENTIENT OWL! WHY DIDNT YOU SAY ANYTHING!?" shouted luna.

Eir only giggled like a proper lady.

She said sarcastically,

"I happen to think i look quite cute as an owl. Hmph"

Kara shook her head and muttered

"ᛋᛏᚢᛈᛁᛞ ᚺᚢᛗᚨᚾ. ᛋᚺᛖ ᚲᚨᚾᛏ ᛖᚡᛖᚾ ᛏᛖᛚᛚ ᚹᚺᛖᚾ ᚨ ᚡᚨᛚᚴᚤᚱᛁᛖ ᛁᛋ ᛋᛏᚨᚾᛞᛁᚾᚷ ᚱᛁᚷᚺᛏ ᛁᚾ ᚠᚱᛟᚾᛏ ᛟᚠ ᚤᛟᚢ."

Luna glared at her.

"Dont call me stupid."

Suddenly the whole room went quiet.

"Y-You understood what she said Luna?" Said Eir, looking at her with intrigue.

"What are you talking about Eir? of course i understood her. She spoke perfect English"

"Except i didnt." said Kara as she finally stood up off the ground.

Luna only returned a look of confusion.

"I spoke the old tongue child. The language of the gods."

"C'mon guys stop messing around. I know you spoke English, cause I heard it clear as day."

Luna looked at their faces, both stared back, fully serious.

Eir hopped onto Kara's shoulder and started whispering to her.

"Sister... if she is really able to understand the Old Tongue.. you know what that means right..?"

"Yes.. the events foretold by Frigga herself are coming to pass... The prophecy is upon us... She is the one..."
