Chapter 3: Something's not right with her

Camila awoke suddenly, it was 2 am and Mila was sweating like crazy her bunk was soaked but she was shivering. She took a breath and got out of her bunk, grabbing her blanket and pulling it over her shoulders. Trudging to the front of the bus she took a seat on the couch grabbing a bottle of water on her way there. She sniffled slightly as her body ached and her stomach was off, she wanted her mom or someone to comfort her and just tell her that everything would be okay.

Then her stomach hitched and she ran to the bathroom where she proceeded to throw up into the toilet, spitting out all the food she had eaten that day which was not that much. When she was done she tore off a piece of toilet paper to wipe her mouth. Camila slid over to the wall so she was leaning on something cause she could barely keep herself upright.

Ally woke up first seeing Camila asleep on the bathroom floor, she was pale which was concerning. Lauren and Normani showed up to Ally's side as did Dinah they were confused on why their best friend was sleeping on the floor was she sick?

Ally kneeled beside Camila "Mila time to wake up"

Camila opened her eyes to see her friends staring at her

"morning Chonch!" Dinah said a little loudly

"You okay Camzi?" Mila sniffled and nodded

Ally put the back of her hand on her forehead "Mila you feel warm"

"I'm fine" she brushed off the older girl's hand

"Then why are you sleeping on the bathroom floor?" Normani raised an eyebrow

"Uh... I felt sick" Camila mumbled

"Sick!" Ally said while helping Camila up "you should be in bed!"

Camila whined as Ally basically shoved her into her bunk "stop I'm fine"

"sure, if you say so but you're getting some rest"

Ally shut Camila's bunk curtain and walked back to the group "something's up with her, she's not as bubbly as usual and she's always tired" Lauren crossed her arms.

"Should we ask her about it?" Dinah chimed in

"Not yet we should let her come to us with her problem if there is a problem" Normani reasoned.

It was another show day and the girls had to get up early for an interview. Camila got cold last night so she snuck over to sleep with Lauren in her bunk.

The time was 7 am and Skylar climbed on to the bus "Good morning ladies! We have hair and makeup than an interview and a show tonight so wake up! She calls startling them. The five groan and get up for the day they head straight to hair and makeup after getting dressed. They get all glammed up and speed to their interview at a local radio station.

"Hey it's Fifth Harmony and this is our song 'me and my girls' they all say into the mics.

"Hello we have Fifth Harmony in the studio with us today and they are gonna answer some questions for us" The man interviewing spoke "Okay first question, "If you were a fruit what would you be?"

"Mango" Dinah answered

Camila was prepared to answer "100% a banana"

"I think I'd be a strawberry" Normani chimed in

Ally responded "I'd be a coconut"

Lastly, Lauren answered with "um I don't know, I think I'd be a mango also"

After a few other questions, Camila could feel herself zoning out and exhaustion kicking in. She took a deep breath but felt an ache in her stomach she pushed the feeling away until the end of the interview, she sprinted out of the studio and threw up into the wastebasket that was there, as she was heaving Lauren held her hair back. Camila coughed and lifted her head to face Lauren "you okay Camzi?" Camila nodded then laid her head on the older girl's shoulder. "Just having a rough day" Camila hugged Lauren.

On the way to the venue, the girls decided to get some rest since they had to wake up early for the interview. Lauren and Dinah slept on the front lounge couches, Camila and Ally snoozed in their bunks and Normani slept in the back room. After sleeping peacefully for an hour Skylar interrupted them again but this time they had to get into the venue for soundcheck.

Ally went to wake-up Camila but noticed the younger girl looking pale that's when she made an executive decision to make her miss the show to rest "Mila? Wake up"

Camila rolled over "hey Ally, is it showtime?"

"Nope, but you are not performing tonight" Ally didn't want her to miss it but they need her to be healthy for the rest of the shows so one couldn't hurt

"What?" the younger girls said in disbelief and sat up

Ally shook her head "Mila you need to rest and shake off whatever is going on"

"Ally I'm fine, I can perform" she crossed her arms

Normani came to Ally's side after hearing the conversation "Ally's right you've been off Mila a night of rest wouldn't hurt"

Camila grunted she couldn't believe Normani would side with Ally. She then stomped off to Lauren and Dinah "Guy's back me up, I'm fine to perform right?"

Lauren and Dinah exchanged looks of disagreement.

Dinah spoke "Chonch you haven't been 100% lately maybe you should just take a breather"

Camila furrowed her eyebrows then turned to Lauren

"Camz she's right just take a break for tonight, we can handle the show" Lauren reasoned

The Cuban just stood and looked down at her feet "Fine." she stormed back to her bunk angrily. Camila heard the bus door close indicating they left, she was upset they all know how much she loved to perform and the fact that they were willing to do the show without her hurt.

The girls went through soundcheck, a meet and greet and a full show without Camila it felt weird but they made it through. When they were coming off the stage they bumped into Demi

"Hey, nice job!"

"Thanks" they replied in unison

"Where's Camila?" Demi questioned seeing only four girls instead of five

"She's in the bus resting she was sick" Normani answered

"Okay well see ya guys later!" Demi ended the conversation and went on stage, but was confused she knew how much Camila loved performing and the fact that she wasn't out there tonight made her skeptical so she would ask Camila about when she saw her next.

Camila spent the night watching movies in the backroom by herself the chemo was still affecting her by sending aches to her body every few minutes. Camila was still angry and lonely the bus was so empty sure she was mad but she wished the girls were with her 'everything would be fine if I didn't have stupid Cancer' she thought.

After the third film, Camila decided to call it a night she took her medicine and crawled into her bunk. She snuggled up under her covers to mimic someone hugging her she wanted her mom and wanted this to be over. She started to feel tears brimming her eyes, she was homesick, maybe going on tour wasn't such a good idea. Her tears were flowing more now but when she heard the girls enter she wiped the tears and pretended to be sleeping.
