Flashback: Beginning of High School

"Oh, look! It's Fatty Venix!"

"How does she even carry her self literally when she's a big fat whale?" Tyron, Wade, and Aaron snickered and laughed.

"Will you shut the hell up and stop being mean to her?"

I am actually busy reading a book my mom bought for me as a gift from her business trip in Thailand. It's about Thailand's history and politics and stuff like these really interest me.

"Dude, why are defending her? Do you have a crush on Fatty Venix or something?"

I clenched my teeth and prevent myself from bursting. I'm mot defending the girl, I'm just busy reading while I wait for my bestfriend and cousin finish his tryouts in Karate.

My eyes rose up to see my friends prey and there she stood with all her chubby body. She was wearing a high-waisted jeans with black and yellow stripped shirt and let's not forget her harry potter like eye-glasses and her light brown wild curls. She's walking along with Lucy, a complete goth, and Kevin, an Asian nerd. Lucy then stood up and headed to wherever she is going leaving the two. They were busy talking they did not notice my friends walked up to them.

Before I could even utter a word to ask them what their intentions are, Aaron poured his drink on Kevin's pants and Tyron smacked the burger on Venix's shirt. Kevin was emotionless and his eyes went cold. Venix, on the other hand, was fighting not to cry. Her lips trembles then she looks down at her shirt. Everyone who witnesses the scene gasped but most did not give a fuck. Some just laughed and teased.

Just then, a voice loud and intimidating enough made the teasing and laughing stop.

"What do you think you're doing?!"

Percy Patterson, a kid labeled as one of the bad boys came looking livid. He and my other friends are not really on good terms and I think what's happening right now might complicate the things between them more.

Before Percy could land an uppercut to Tyron, Lucy swiftly kicked Tyron on his side making him fall to the floor. She was about to punch Aaron as well but Kevin quickly had his arms locked on her petite body. Percy went to Venix and started wiping the fresh stain on Venix's shirt with tissues quietly as Venix was silently crying.

"Aaarrggghhh!"

"Hey, hey, hey! Franx! Are you alright? Are you hurt?!"

I blinked. I blinked four times and my breathing was still unsteady. Warm, soft, slim hands cupped my face, soft honey brown eyes looked with worry and concern.

"Franx?"

"Nix.. I... I had a d-dream.. Oh my goodness.."

"Was it a bad one?"

I frantically nodded my head at her. Next thing I know, her fingers were wiping my cheeks. What? Am I crying?!

"Shhhhh... they will go away, Franx. Don't worry."

"But.. But i-it was real, Nix. It is real because it happened... it happened in the past."

She lifted my face up to me. Her brown eyes staring at me with so much intensity.

"And it was in the past, then, Franx. Please, let go of it."

"Okay...."

She smiled warmly at me, caressing my face.

"Okay. Now, go back to sleep. You're all clear for tomorrow."
