Chapter 29

"Home sweet home!" I yelled as I walked into our house while carrying Julissa in my arms. She was wide awake while chewing on her teething toy.

I love Cuba, it's such a beautiful island, but I'm so happy to be home and I can finally see Yolanda and my family. I'm also excited to start working because it's been such a long time. I turned around to see David and Zeon walking into the house with our bags, and Zeon closed the door behind him.

"Damn, I'm tryna go back to Cuba. Niggas got school tomorrow already." David complained. Zeon smacked the back of his head while walking past him and over to me. One glimpse of her daddy and Julissa jumped into his arms.

"Stop cussing, I've told you that before. You're not grown." Zeon scolded David.

"My bad." He mumbled. He picked up his bag and made his way up the stairs and to his room.

I gave Zeon a kiss which made Julissa smack my forehead. My mouth dropped open in shock then i busted out laughing. My daughter is really obsessed with her father.

"Damn, she really not playing with you babe. That's my princess." His dumb ass smiled and planted kisses all over Julissa's face. You'd think he's the one who pushed her out by the way he gets all the love from her.

I let Zeon hold Julissa and I made my way into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. I then made my way upstairs to our bedroom. I'm exhausted and just want to lay down and rest my eyes. I missed sleeping in my own bed. When I got to the room, Julissa was sitting in the middle of the bed with pillows and toys surrounding her, and Zeon was in a change of clothes, lacing up his sneakers. I frowned while sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Where are you going? We just got home." I said. I don't want him to leave anywhere. I'm sure whatever he's about to do can wait for tomorrow.

"I have to go handle business real quick but I'll be back soon. Make sure you and David eat something." He said. He cane over to me and kissed me on my forehead before leaning forward to kiss Julissa.

"Can't it wait till tomorrow? Does this have to do with Jalen and Tez?" I asked.

"Don't worry about it, I'll be back soon. Stop tripping." He said. I frowned and folded my arms across my chest.

"Ok then go. Have fun." I stood up and walked to the bathroom. Zeon called my name but I closed and locked the door.

I don't see how I'm the one tripping when I'm only concerned about where he's going and what's he going to do. He continued to call my name but I stayed silent until I heard footsteps and the room door close. I sighed and opened the door, leaving the bathroom. Julissa was still on the bed minding her business, while chewing on her teething toy.

I started to unpack our bags and sort our clothes into laundry piles. I don't think Julissa is gonna fall asleep for a few hours so I might as well start to clean and do laundry. I might be able to cook dinner before Zeon makes his way home as well. I wanna do all this stuff now because in two days I'll be going back to work so I know I'll have less time to do things.

I was almost done unpacking when the doorbell rang. I grabbed the remote and turned the cameras on so I can see who was at the front door. It was random men in black that I've never seen before. I grabbed my phone and quickly called Zeon cause I'll be damned if I open the door to danger while my daughter and David are home.

"Hey baby." He answered the phone.

"Z there's people at the door in black. Ion know who they are." I said.

"I sent them over. They're just gonna be there while I'm out, to keep y'all safe." He said nonchalantly.

"Zeon I don't want random men on our property. And i don't need security! I'm home!" I raised my voice.
