Rayn- Chapter 6

"Wake up dude, we leave in 30" Hannah shouts behind the closed door
"I'm already up stop yelling" Rayn says while opening the door
"Oh, my bad. Next time respond, can I have chocolate chip pancakes, PRETTY PLEASE" Hannah begs
"Only because you apologized" Rayn smiles
"Sucker" Hannah says while walking away
"I HEARD THAT, NO PANCAKES FOR YOU" Rayn yells
"NO YOU MONSTER DONT DO THIS TO ME, IT WILL BE THE END OF MY WORLD, I WONT BE ABLE TO TAKE ON THE DAY" Hannah screams
"You brought this upon yourself ma'am" Rayn chuckles
"Whatever :(" Hannah grumbles
Rayn and Hannah get in the car to go to school. They pull into their parking space, which is obviously the best one in the school due to Rayns popularity. They are early but head inside anyways. Rayn decides to visit the pe teachers office to talk about soccer tryouts considering he's the coach. He also may have wanted to catch a glimpse of the coach's son ;). He gets to the office and was not disappointed. Cam is fast asleep on the couch curled up into a ball sound asleep.
"Hello son, what do you need, and quietly, my boy didn't sleep well last night so he needs the extra sleep" Mr. Harris states
"Oh I can come back another time if you like" Rayn says
"No it's ok, you're already here, what do you need?"
"Oh, I was just gonna ask you about soccer tryouts today, since I was the captain last year" Rayn exclaims
"Don't get to cocky now son, my boy here has quite the skills" Coach Harris states
"Oh does he now" Rayn smirks
"Guess you'll find out today" Coach states
"Alright coach, I'll see you then!" Rayn states
"Son, you haven't even talked about what you came in here to" Coach laughs
"Oh sh*t, my bad" Rayn curses
"Language" Coach glares
"Anyways, I was just wondering what the tryouts would consist of?" Rayn questions
"You'll just have to wait. I'm not trying to be rude but I can't give anyone the upper hand. Not even my boy knows what will go down" Coach exclaims
"It's really no problem coach, I take no offense" Rayn states
While the two are talking Cam starts to wake up without both of them noticing.
"What's going on, why is everything so loud" Cam says drowsily
"God that's so fuc*ing cute" Rayn thinks
"Sorry son, we didn't mean to wake you" Coach states
"We?" Cam looks up drowsily and is immediately startled by the man he saw on the first day in the office
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up Cam" Rayn says
"How d-do you k-know my n-name if you d-don't mi-mind me as-asking?" Cam questions
"Don't be rude Cam" Coach glares
"Sorry Rayn, I d-didn't mean t-to be r-rude, I'm still kind of w-waking up" Cam says
"None taken Cam. I wasn't aware you knew my name either" Rayn exclaims
"Well w-we do have e-every cl-class- oh wait that's probably how you knew, I'm such an idiot I'm so sorry! Cam stutters
"Cam, it's totally good, I'll see you at tryouts?" Rayn chuckles
"Y-you play so-soccer?" Cam questions
"Well not to brag but I was captain last year" Rayn smirks
"W-wow, that's I-incredible!" Cam smiles
"Anyways, the bell just rang, let's get to class, I'll walk with you!" Rayn says with a little to much excitement
"O-ok, bye dad" Cam says
"See ya Cam, have a good day, and Rayn, see you at tryouts, and remember what I said" Coach states
"No problem coach see ya then" Rayn says
"W-what did h-he say I-if y-ou don't mind me asking?" Cam questions while they are walking to class
"Nothing important Cam" Rayn states

(Time skip to the end of the day)

Rayn and Cam make their way to the locker room and when they get in, all heads turn to them, most of them with questioning glances. Running through their heads is why would the new kid be with the most popular guy in school. Cam shrinks behind Rayn, away from the eyes of his peers. Rayn sends a glare to them and they all go back to what they were doing. Rayn and Cam get dressed and head to the field.
"Alright boys 5 minutes to stretch then line up" Coach shouts
"YES COACH" all students say
While they are stretching, Dylan and Rayn are making small talk while Cam is talking to this kid Rayn has never seen before.
"Who's that person that Cam is talking to?" Rayn asks Dylan
"Damn your horrible with names" Dylan states while looking over
"Oh, that's Gabriel Winters" Dylan states with an unknown emotion in his eyes
After the stretches Coach has them line up
"Alright kids, let's get a Indian run going" coach yells
(A/N An Indian run for those of you who don't know is you run in a single file line and the whistle blows, the kid from the back has to sprint to the front of the line and that repeats for 10 minutes)
Everyone seems to be worn out except for 4 students. Rayn, Dylan, Gabriel, and Cam. While they are panting, they are ready for the real tryouts to start.
"Alright, two teams, let's do a scrimmage, 8v8" coach yells
"Let me get Dylan, Rayn, Leo, Zach, Aiden, Andrew, Landon, and Nathan on one team and let me have Gabriel, Cam, Harry, David, Eric, Zane, Perry, and Oliver on the other" coach yells
"That seems a little unfair, that's juniors against seniors Coach, we will crush them, we are way bigger than them" Leo laughs
"Don't get to cocky kid" coach threatens
The game starts, the juniors have the ball, the forward is Gabriel while the midfielder is Cam. Gabriel passes the ball back to Cam. Cam serves the ball to the left midfielder and runs for a through ball. The ball is passed through to Cam while he sends it up to Gabriel for a one two back to Cam who nails the ball into the upper right hand corner for the first goal of the game. Ryan and all of the seniors are stunned by cams skills, considering he is so small. Seniors have the ball. Dylan is the forward while Rayn is the midfield. They pull almost the same tricks and Rayn scores a point. The game drags on and Cam musters up 5 goals while Rayn has 3. The juniors are up 6-4. The seniors continue to get frustrated so Leo, Zach, and Andrew start to brew a plan. Cam obtained the ball and is dribbling down the field when suddenly he gets slammed to the ground.
"SON ARE YOU OKAY" coach screams while running to Cam
Rayn gets there first and sees that cam is knocked out from the impact. He glares at Zach who slammed him.
"Coach he's knocked out, I'll take him up to the nurse to lay him down" Rayn yells
"Tryouts are over, I have the teams built. They will be stapled on my door tomorrow morning, go home and get some rest, practice starts Monday" Coach states
Rayn picks up Cam bridal style and starts to walk to the nurses office with Gabriel and Dylan in toe. He opens the door and the nurse looks up.
"What happened" the nurse questions
"Some stupid senior decided to check him because he was the best player out on the field" Gabriel fumes
"What do you mean, they did this on purpose" Rayn questions, attempting to hold back his anger
"Yeah I heard Leo, Zach, and Andrew talking about it.
Rayn looks absolutely furious
"You need to calm down before you break something" Dylan whispers
"THEY WILL PAY FOR HURTING MY LITTLE ANGEL" Rayn rants
Gabriel looks at him questioningly while Rayn pales when he realizes what he says with Gabe in the room
"You can't tell anyone, and I mean anyone, you got it?" Rayn states
"Love who you love man, were all gay here" Gabriel chuckles
Dylan pales while Rayn looks at his best friend questioningly
"Oh sh*t did he not know?" Gabriel questions
"Well he does now, it's okay baby I was planning on telling him tonight anyways" Dylan says
"I'm not your baby, I haven't said yes to you yet" Gabriel states
"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" Rayn questions
"Oh sorry, well I'm gay. I'm very interested in this cute little boy that walked in with us and he has been rejecting me for a few months now, but I will get his love" Dylan says with determination in his eyes
Cam looks wide eyed at Dylan and Gabriel having only waken up to hear that part of the conversation
"Well this is probably the weirdest thing I've ever woken up to" Cam says
"OH SHI*, how much did you hear?" Rayn says with a bit of a scared tone
"Well I heard that Dylan is in love with my friend Gabriel" Cam states
"Is that it?" Rayn questions
"Is there something else that I should've heard?" Cam questions
"Nope, not at all!" Rayn says a little to fast
"Alright then" Cam says "Gabriel, is this the guy that you've been talking to me about all day?" Cam questions
"Cam shut your mouth before I throat punch you!" Gabriel shouts
"Just give him a chance you dork" Cam laughs
"If you would've of given me till tomorrow I would have said yes then!" Gabe shouts
"REALLY?" Dylan says while smiling
"Yes, I'll be your boyfriend" Gabe says shyly
"OMG YES THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE DID YOU HEAR THAT RAYN HE SAID YES! I FINALLY HAVE MY BABY!!!" Dylan says with much excitement
"I heard bud, I'm happy for you" Rayn chuckles
"Not to interrupt this beautiful moment, but can I check on cams injuries" the nurse questions
"Oh yes sorry nurse" Rayn moves so the nurse can get through
"Looks like everything is good, just passed out from shock" the nurse says after an examination
"Alright, let me take you to your dad" Rayn says while picking up Cam bridal style
"You know the nurse said that I'm fine, I can walk" Cam says with a bright blush on his cheeks
"I know but I like carrying you" Rayn says with a wink while smirking
Cam nuzzles his face into Rayns chest to attempt to hide his blush
"Don't hide from me, your to cute for that" Rayn states
"Stop your embarrassing me. Plus, I thought you were straight, why would you think I'm cute" Cam states
"Who told you I was straight?" Rayn smirks
"So your not?" Cam questions
"Does this answer your question?" Rayn says as he leans down
"What are you doing?" Coach questions with a glare
"UM NOTHING HERES YOUR SON THE NURSE SAYS HES OKAY ILL SEE YOU AT PRACTICE ON MONDAY COACH" Rayn says while scurrying away
"That was way to close, I almost just kissed him as well as I basically told him I'm gay, this is going to be a interesting senior year" Rayn thinks while driving home
"Oh how I would love to be his one and only" Rayn says
