Chapter 32

My eyes remained glued to my revision as I heard the door open and close.

"What you revising for?"

"Business and Maths"

"You'll do great don't worry." He leant down over the back of the sofa and kissed my cheek.

"Did you eat?"

"Yes thank you."

"I'll order pizza in a bit then"
He sat down beside me and examined my work,

"You subtract it there"

"Oh okay"

We went through my work and he taught me my mistakes which helped me a lot and I ended up finishing earlier than expected.
He picked up the phone and held it to his ear,

"What so you want?"

"Hawaiian pizza for me please!"

He nodded and started telling the pizza place our order.

"Okay thank you, bye" he hung up and we put on the tv.

"I want to watch a scary movie!"

"Sure come sit with me"

I shuffled in between his legs on the sofa and leant my head on his strong chest.
I listened to his heart beat contently.

"I don't know what I'd do without you."

"You'd be pretty lost huh?"

"Well done I was trying to be cute and you ruined it with your cockiness."

"Your always cute! Maybe it's just your height though.."

"Your so annoying"

Our food came quickly and I offered to pay since he'd paid for so much recently.
We ate it and finished off the movie. His arms where around me and every time I got scared or I jumped he gave a reassuring squeeze.

"Can we go on a walk?"

"Where?"

"The beach."

He nodded and we got up. I grabbed a slice of pizza to go and grabbed my coat. We drove for a while until we finally got there.

We walked along the shore; fingers intwined for what ended up being hours until we didn't recognise where we were anymore.

I sat down and he sat down beside me on the lonely shore by the water. I looked up at the moon and the stars which got me thinking.

We all take things so for granted and you only begin to realise the beauty of things when you stop to listen, look. I don't deserve him at all.
Yet he doesn't want to be with anybody else.
I know I'm a nobody but he makes me feel so important, like nothing can rip me from my throne. To feel so loved after so long made my heart throb with happiness.

"Whats on your mind?"

"I'm just appreciating everything for once."

"It's beautiful out here. Especially when its just you and me.

"I don't deserve you Miles.."

"Don't say that Laura-"

"You.. your perfect."

I looked down at our laced fingers and rested my head on his shoulder.

"You treat me like some sort of princess. God you treat me so well even when I know I don't deserve it. You look after me and you care about me.
You make me more happy I could ever be with anybody else."

"You make me a better person Laura. Your perfect."

"How can you say that so easily?"

"How couldn't anybody say that your perfect?"

"I don't know how they could.. I hate myself."

"Thats okay."

"It is?"

"It means I'll just have to love you enough to make you see yourself the way I see you."

"I don't know.."

"Your beautiful Laura. Your funny, adorable, loving, kind, gorgeous, smart. I can go on forever, you need to learn to love yourself."

I sighed and thought to myself for a moment.

"Lets go." I stood up and he joined me. We walked back to the car and got in.

Miles' Home

"Can I have a piggy back?"

"Yeah climb on!"

I jumped onto his back and he carried me upstairs to our bedroom. He placed me down gently and we both got changed into our night wear, mine a long top and underwear, his just being grey sweatpants.

We both got comfortable and he turned off the lamp. I took a deep breath and turned to face him.

I moved close to him and our foreheads rested on each others as we curled up into each other.

"Miles"

"Yeah?"

"I.."

I stayed quiet and he pulled me closer to him, our foreheads still touching.

"Miles I love you."

I looked at him hopefully and he smiled wider than I'd ever seen before.

"I love you too Laura."
