Today,
I thought I saw you.
...In the fast food drive through.
I saw your eyes
They're still sharper than a sword, able to cut me in two, and pierce my soul.
Your mysterious gaze, able to keep me interested, yet give me so much anxiety.
I don't know why these thoughts are happening.
Then I look to your left, and a very slight sense of relief hit me, along with a strong wave of jealousy.
...You were with her.
I don't like this feeling that you're giving me, yet, it attracts me like a magnet.
So,
Faster than you could say supercagifragilisticexpialialadosious, I dove under the car seats.
Out of plain sight
Turns out it wasn't you,
And my mother is asking "what in God's name are you doing?"
I'm embarrassed to say, that even after all this time...
I still like you.
But I don't want to.
