Namjoon really liked Jimin but he loved his brother more. He would do anything for Jungkook, the same way Jungkook would for him. Jungkook was right, he would get someone easily because of his looks and position but for Jungkook even if he was indeed handsome, people would still see his physical flaws first

Namjoon sighs as he wipes away a tear. He was currently out drinking with his secretary and best friend Jin. Jin was always there for him in everything and right now he was his shoulder to cry on

Namjoon was drunk by the time they decided to head home

“Come on Namjoon” Jin tries to make Namjoon stand up “..let’s go home”

“J-Jimin…” Namjoon slurs, his eyes trying to focus on Jin’s face

“It’s Jin”

“Oh..” Namjoon sighs before his eyes fall onto Jin’s lips. He reaches his hand out to softly caresses the elder’s lips “..you both have such soft plump lips” he pauses before he starts leaning forward but before he could kiss Jin, the elder stops him

“Look Joon..” Jin slightly pushes away the taller “....I really like you… a lot….but I don’t want to be a rebound...You are clearly hurting… and I don’t think it’s fair for me to get hurt as well”

Namjoon blinks as he takes in what Jin said - Jin likes him? He had never let himself love anyone because he always wanted to marry someone his parents brought him. Jimin was that someone but not anymore. Jin knew about this whole arrangement and that's why he never confessed to Namjoon

“Hyung… I’m sorry” Namjoon sighs “...I got carried away.. I didn’t know you liked me like that… you know I would never…”

“I know”

“Then…” Namjoon says as he holds Jin’s hand “...will you wait for me? Will you let me love you the way you deserve to me loved?”

“I will”
