Author note:
Sorry Kaya's backstory is probably not good

As everyone started to put out their bedrolls, I sit on a bale of hay and start to pull grass, twigs, and other things from nature off my clothing. As I do, I feel like some is watching me, I look up to see Kili looking at me in what looks likes a trace.

"What never seen anyone clean their clothes before or something?" I chuckled

He shook his head "No It's Just that... Nevermind how is your head?"

"Oh, it's fine thank you. Oin gave me some medicines for it"

"Oh, that's good. Hey, would you like to take a walk with me before it gets too dark outside?"

I frown "Oh, a walk does sound nice Kili but I have already promised Bofur we would talk."

"That's ok Kaya maybe some other time." He frowns seeming sad

I jump off the hay bale, walk over and hug him "I would love that kee." I told him walking off to find Bofur

Once I Find Bofur, his setting up his bedroll I tap his shoulder.

"Everything alright Lassie?" He asks turning around

I frown "Did you forget Bofur."

He smiles "Nah, lass just thought I would ask. Let's go."

I follow him until we find a remote area far from the company. We stop and he turns to me "So I saw you and Kili hugging" he chuckled

"So Bofur his my friend that's what friends do," I tell him

"Right but you love him and I can tell he loves you too." he nudges me

"So it doesn't matter if I do. We could never be together." I say sit down

"What do mean las?" He asked sitting down next to me

"Thorin will never let us be together seen how I'm an elf and his a dwarf. Even more so if he knew about my kin."

"Your kin's history" He repeats "Please tell me what that has to do with anything."

"If I do you can't tell the others."

"I promise. You can trust me, I'm here for you," he says laying hand on my shoulder

I smile "Ok, well I'm an elven princess from Mirkwood." I wait for his reaction

He started to chuckled. I look at him confused.

"What's wrong with that? Wait, a second you've said that you're from Rivendell?"

"It's a long story, I say that because I was raised there but I wasn't born Rivendell. "

"Why though, why would you leave your home las?"

"We didn't have a choice." I sigh "Look if I tell you my story. You promise you won't ever tell anyone, please Bofur."

"I promise. You have my word." he smiles

I smile "thank you, ok let see." I tap my chin thinking. "Ah, yes about 10 years after Smaug took the lonely mountain, my mother went exploring the woods of Mirkwood. When she came upon a hobbit who was badly hurt. She saw that he need help so she secretly brought him into the Palace to care for him. When-"

"Sorry to interrupt Kaya but I don't get why did she have to sneak the hobbit in?"

"Well, Bofur from what my mother told me that she and grandfather never saw eye to eye about caring for anyone outside the kingdom. So I guess she figures that my father being from outside of Mirkwood would not get the help he needs. So as I was saying when she got to the palace she took the hobbit to her room than clean and care for his wounds. after a few days of rest, the hobbit awoke confused and scared since he didn't know where he was. The elf explains what had happened and told him, he would have to stay in her room until he was fully healed. So about a month past and the hobbit was healed but didn't want to leave for he had grown fond of the elf. So he asked her if he could stay and she agreed because she too had grown fond of him. So from what I was told since hobbit are smaller and quieter than most folks, she was able to keep him hidden for five years."

"Not that I'm not listening or is bored by this, but Las it's getting late can't we wrap this up," he yawns "Please."

"Oh, Right Sorry, from the stories my mother to me my grandfather didn't approve of my parents being together and sent them away seen how my mom was pregnant with me and banished my parents and any of their kin from his realm."

"So you're banished from your homeland for your parent's love. Sorry to hear that Kaya." He sadly smiles

"It's alright, I did meet some of my kin them, they're not all bad." I yawn

"Come, lass, we should get to bed before we fall asleep here and have the other talking." He says getting up and offering his hand "And don't yea worry I wouldn't tell a soul what you have told me."

I chuckle taking his hand "Thank you so much for listen, you know it felt good to talk about it."

"Anytime, Kaya. Now let's go before we both fall over with sleep."

I nod yawning again as we walk back quietly back to the others.

"Goodnight Bofur."

"Goodnight lass"

We hug again then part ways and I walk over to my bedroll to see Kili not that far off. I smile to myself and lay down quickly falling asleep.
