The Griffin's Legend

20 1 2

A creature of the sky

The most graceful and swift

You can never even spy

As high in the air it would drift.

The creature with the eagle's head

Sharp talons and menacing beak

Blood showed in its mouth, red

As it soared to its peak.

Armour like that of a crocodile

And Skin like that of a goat

Its kills under its feet in a pile

Few have seen it and less may quote.

It has great agility

With wings in disproportion

Its speed none would agree

And always seen as a bad omen.

Few saw it as a good omen

Replaced and even warned.

Now with its new wings, it has risen

And thus The Griffin was born.
